Chapter 12: The Night Will Go As Follows

I was sitting on my bed, reading a book when Alice came bouncing into my room.

She was searching through her purse as she walked in, “Are you ready to go Bella? We’re supposed to be there by four; the guys are waiting.”

I put my book down, “Yeah, I guess I’m ready.”

She looked up at me and frowned, “Oh, no you are not. You cannot wear that tonight.”

I looked down at what I was wearing. I had a green t-shirt and a pair of old blue jeans on; I didn’t think it looked that bad.

“Rose, get in here! Bella needs our help,” Alice yelled out of my bedroom door.

I sighed and crossed my arms over my chest, “Alice, I thought you were letting me dress myself today.”

Rose walked into the room as I was saying that and laughed, “Well it seems Alice has changed her mind about that,” she folded her arms across her chest and leaned against the door, “Honestly, for as long as you’ve known us, you’d think you would be able to dress yourself a little better than this.”

I groaned, “Fine. Find me something to wear girls.”

Alice squealed and danced out of the room.

I looked at Rose, “She’s already bought something for me to wear hasn’t she?”

She laughed, “Probably,” she shrugged, “You know Alice.”

I sighed as Alice walked back into the room carrying a bag, no doubt full of clothes.

“You knew this was going to happen, didn’t you?” I should have known she wouldn’t really let me chose my own clothes for the night.

She dumped the cloths on my bed, “I had an Idea that it might. Beside, I’ve had these clothes for you for a while now. I just haven’t had the chance to give them to you.”

“Bella, there is no time to start complaining about this,” Rose grabbed my arm, shoved the clothes at me, and forced me into the bathroom, “Now go get changed so we can go.”

I shook my head as I closed the door, “That sneaky little pixie.”

I looked at the clothes she got me and smiled; at least she knew what I liked.

I ended up in a pair of dark blue jeans that fit me perfectly, and a cute blue top that fit better than half the clothes I own.

I walked out of the room smiling, “Alright, we can go now.”

“You like the clothes, don’t you Bella?” Rose whispered into my ear.

I nodded, “I have to admit, Alice always knows what I’d like to wear; even if she does spend way too much money on me.”

Of course, she heard me as she walked into the room, “Aww, thanks Bella. You look great, now LET’S GO!” she turned back around to look at me, “By the way, I like spending my money on you.”

She grabbed mine and Rose’s arms, dragging us into the living room. It was still cold and snowing outside, so I grabbed Edward’s jacket. I smiled; it still smelled like him.

Rose practically dragged me out the door at that point, and we were on our way to see the guys.

I swear Alice had packed up the whole apartment. We had board games, movies, more board games, and a ton of other things she insisted would be fun. Oh, and did I mention, she packed board games? We had everything.

I sighed. This was going to be an interesting night.

I pulled my cell phone out, “I’m going to go call the guys and tell them we’re leaving soon.”

”Okay. I’ll try to get Bella to hurry up,” Rose stayed in the hallway, waiting for Bella, as I walked into my bedroom.

I dialed Jasper’s number; he answered on the second ring, “Hey honey, are you guys on your way yet?”

I laughed, “Not quite. Bella isn’t ready yet, but we’ll be leaving in a few minutes.”

“Of course, leave it to Bella to make you guys late again,” he chuckled, “Alright; we’ll be waiting for you girls.”

I smiled, “Be ready to help get everything out of the car. I’m packing a ton of board games and movies.”

“I figured that much. We’ll be here to help,” he agreed, “I love you.”

“Thanks Jazz. I love you too. See you in a bit,” I shut the phone as I walked out of the room.

I heard Bella talking as I was walking around the corner, “I have to admit, Alice always knows what I’d like to wear; even if she does spend way too much money on me.”

I smiled, “Aww, thanks Bella. You look great, now LET’S GO!”

She could be so slow sometimes, but I loved her to death. I knew she was excited about this night; she just wouldn’t admit it to anyone. She wanted to see Edward again, and I knew it.

I turned back around and looked at her, “By the way, I like spending my money on you.”

I grabbed both of their arms, dragging them into the living room. It was cold and snowy outside, but it wasn’t too bad.

We practically had to drag Bella out of the house; she was being way too slow. I wanted to see Jazz, and we were already running late.

We all climbed into the Porsche, along with every board game and movie we owned. We were on our way to see the boys and I was bouncing in my seat.

Bella sighed, “Why did we pack so many games and movies? It’s not like we’re actually going to use all of this stiff.”

I looked at her through the mirror, “Because, silly, it gives us a choice on what we want to do. This way, we can all chose something we like.”

“Come on Bella, we know you’re excited about this,” Rose turned around in her seat so she could look at her, “You get to see Edward again!”

Bella smiled, “Yeah, I guess so.”

We sat there in silence the rest of the drive there; we were all lost in our own thoughts.

I turned down the street the boys lived down; we were almost there. I could see their apartment building, and they were all outside waiting for us.

Alice pulled into a parking space; we were there, and the guys were all outside waiting for us.

I smiled; Edward was there and I was really excited to see him again. It was what Alice had planned that I wasn’t too excited for.

I sighed and went to reach for the door handle, but Edward beat me to it instead, “Hello Bella. It’s nice to see you again.”

I looked up and him, “Hi Edward. It’s nice to see you too,” I smiled.

Alice and Rose already had Jasper and Emmett dragging bags and boxes out of the car.

I laughed, “Do you think we should help them?”

“We could. Or we could just go inside; maybe they won't notice,” he smiled.

I looked back to Rose and Alice and frowned, “Believe me, they’ll notice.”

Edward laughed, “Alrighty then, let’s go help.”

He grabbed my hand, walking to the back of the car with the others. He let go of me and grabbed about four bags from the trunk.

I reached down to pick something up, but he stopped me, “I can get these. You’d probably end up falling over or something anyways,” he smiled and winked at me.

I couldn’t disagree with him; not with that gorgeous smiled of his and those eyes that could force me to do anything he wanted. He had no idea what he did to me.

I blushed, “I would not fall over,”

He looked at me, lifting one eye brow.

I sighed in defeat, “Alright, I’ll just open the door for you or something.”

“He’s right Squirt,” I heard Emmett from behind me.

Emmett had always been like a big brother to me, and I loved him. He always knew how to make me laugh and smile. He called me Squirt all the time, he thought it would be funny, and he was the big brother I never had the chance to have.

I groaned, “Hey! It’s not my fault,” I stuck my tongue out at him. He just laughed at me. I knew I was a klutz, and Emmett loved to make fun of me for it.

Jasper came walking around the car, “Come on guys; let’s get this stuff inside.”

Alice and Rose pulled me away from Edward while they carried everything inside.

I laughed, “You guys aren’t going to help carry anything?”

Rose looped her arm with mine, “Nope, they can handle it.”

Alice looped her arm with my other, “Yup, they’re big boys. Besides, you’re not carrying anything either.”

I sighed, “Yeah, that’s because he wouldn’t let me.”

They both laughed as we walked into the building. I didn’t even open any of the doors for the guys, but they had everything under control.

We had already been playing games for four hours. We played Clue, Life, Sorry, and Trouble about a million times.

I sighed. I was dreading the next thing Alice had planned.

I was on the floor, sitting next to Edward with our backs leaning against the couch when Alice came bouncing into the room holding Twister.

“Who’s ready to play Twister?” she smiled, looking directly at me.

Of course, Emmett was the first one to jump up at the chance to play Twister, “I am! I am!”

I laughed, “Of course you are Em. I think I’m going to stay out of this one though.”

Edward grabbed my hand, “Me too.”

Alice walked over to us with her hands on her hips, “Oh, I don’t think so. You guys are playing if I have to force you to myself.”

I was trying not to laugh at her. Just the thought of Alice trying to make us get up and play Twister was hilarious. She was so small; there was no way that would work.

I sighed, “Come on Alice. You know how klutzy I am; I could hurt somebody-“

“Or yourself,” Edward interrupted, chuckling.

I glared at him and looked back to Alice, “We could just sit here and spin the wheel for you guys.”

She looked from Edward, back to me, “Nope,” she grabbed our hands, trying to force us to move. It wasn’t working, “You guys are playing.”

The next thing I knew, I was being pulled up from the ground and thrown over someone’s shoulder.

I knew it wasn’t Alice, so it could only be one person, “Emmett, put me down!” I was kicking my legs, trying to get him to let me go.

“Sorry Squirt, but you are playing this game. I want to play, and if we have to sit here and wait for Alice to force you into it, we’ll never get this game started,” there was no way he was giving up on this.

I crossed my arms over my chest the best I could with him holding me like this, “I’m not playing.”

He laughed, “Yes you are. I’m not letting you down until you decide you’re going to play.”

I groaned, “Fine, I’ll play.”

I hadn’t even realized Jasper and Rose in the background laughing. They had learned a long time ago to stay away from the three of us when this happened. So, they were just sitting on the floor laughing at the fact that Emmett threw me over his shoulder and Alice trying to force Edward to play the game.

I blushed, “Emmett, do you think you could put me down now? I already said I would play.”

He chuckled, “Oh, you’re no fun.”

He set me down and I walked over to Alice and Edward, “Okay, since I have to play this game, so do you,” I grabbed his hand to pull him up.

Bella had just been carried off by Emmett, and that left me sitting here with Alice. I thought about going after Bella and Emmett, but I had learned by now that the pixie would never let me.

“Now Edward, why don’t you save us all a little time and just agree to play?” she actually thought I was going to listen to her and give in.

I laughed, “I am not playing Twister. There is no way you guys will be able to make us play that game.”

She smiled, “That’s where you’re wrong. You see, Emmett always gets Bella to do what he wants. He is going to get her to play, and she’ll come over here and force you to play too.”

I refused to play this game. I opened my mouth to tell her that, “I don’t –“

“And before you try to deny that, you may want to think again,” she laughed.

I knew Jasper and Rose were in the background laughing, and I could see Bella walking towards us again. Her face was beet red, and I had a feeling Alice was going to be right.

I frowned as Bella stood in front of me, “Okay, since I have to play this game, so do you,” she grabbed my hand, attempting to pull me up off the floor.

“There is no way you are getting me to play that game,” I still refused to let anyone pull me off the floor.

She sat down next to me, pouting, “Please Edward, will you play?”

I sighed. I couldn’t deny her anything, and she knew it. Damn pixie was right, “Fine, I’ll play.”

I groaned; this was going to be interesting.

Bella smiled and kissed me softly on my cheek, “Thank you,” she whispered.

I smiled, “Anything for you, Love.”

She blushed, “Let’s get this game started and over with.”

After Emmett forced me into playing Twister, I made sure Edward was playing too. I knew he couldn’t deny me anything, so it wasn’t a hard task.

Alice decided we were all going to play. And whoever was closest to the spinner would spin the colors for us. I had a bad feeling this was going to end badly; six people playing on one Twister board was just asking for trouble.

“I told you someone was going to get hurt because of me!” I was screaming at Alice even though she wasn’t in the room.

Emmett was sitting on the couch, holding his nose, “It’s not a big deal Bella; it’s just a bloody nose. I’m not dying or anything; I’ll be fine.”

“Yeah, but it was my fault. I am so sorry Emmett,” I felt tears building up in my eyes.

“He’ll be fine; don’t worry about it so much,” Edward was rubbing my back, trying to calm me down.

I turned my face into his chest, “I’m sorry.”

Rose laughed, “You worry too much Bella. Emmett’s a big boy; he can handle a bloody nose.”

“Yeah, at least you didn’t hurt yourself this time,” Emmett was trying to cheer me up, “You’re always hurting yourself; it’s about time someone else gets hurt.”

Alice came running into the room with an ice pack, “Put this on your nose Emmett; it should help.”

Jasper handed me a glass of water, “It wasn’t your fault Bella. It could have happened to anyone.”

I took the glass, “Thanks Jasper,” he always knew how to calm me down.

He smiled, “Anytime Bella.”

I yawned; by this time, it was almost ten o’ clock. We’d been playing Twister for two hours before anyone got hurt; it was a record for me and I knew it was too good to be true.

“I think it’s about time we head home; it’s getting late, and we all have to work in the morning,” Alice suggested.

Rose sighed, “Yeah, I’m exhausted; I could use some sleep,” she leaned into Emmett’s side and yawned.

“I’m definitely ready to go. I’m so tired, I could fall asleep right here,” I was standing up next to Edward with my head leaning against his chest.

Edward leaned down to whisper in my ear, “I wouldn’t mind that.”

I blushed and tuned my head to hide my face from the others.

Alice and Rose were saying ‘good bye’ to Jasper and Emmett. I was just standing there with Edward, enjoying the rest of our time together.

“I’ll call you when we get home, m’kay?” I assured him.

He kissed the top of my head, “I’ll be waiting.”

“Come on Bella, we’re leaving,” Alice handed me Edward’s jacket and pulled me away from him.

I waved, “Bye Edward.”

He grinned crookedly, “Bye, Love.”

I smiled and looked over to the other guys, “Bye Emmett, Jasper.”

They both said bye, and I was still being pulled out the door by Alice.

We walked down the hallway and headed for the door that led to the parking lot.

Rose sighed, “I’m so tired; I can't wait to go to bed.”

I was too busy watching where I was walking, and Rose was too tired to even look out the window in front of us.

Alice stopped dead in her tracks. Rose and I both looked at her, wondering why she stopped so suddenly. She was staring out the window.

There was no way we were getting out tonight. We were snowed in..
