I ran all night to escape La Push. When I finally reached the borderline, I just kept running. I had to get back to the old house.

When I reached Fork's again, I stopped. I needed a car. Okay, I was underage but Jasmine had taught Willow and I how to drive in case of emergencies. She also taught us how to hotwire a car and pick a lock. I find a car. A suburban outside a niceish house. I picked the lock and am inside. Then I quickly wire it up so I can drive. I have to get to the old house. And quick. I drove as fast as I could. I said a silent prayer to Jasmine, thanking her for teaching me. Of course, if she'd known I'd use it to find an evil vampire, she never would have taught me.

I stopped. I'd driven faster then I realized and I was already there. The house stank of the rank odour of death and fear. I wrinkled my nose in disgust and got out of the car. I sighed at the house that months ago we had fought so hard to escape from. I didn't want to go in. but I knew I had too.

The fear was contagious and it embraced me, making me feel it. A scream cut through the air and that shielded me from the fear, the love of my sister was stronger. I had to save her.

I pushed through the fear and into the house. The door was ripped from its hinges and I walked calmly over it. Vampires were like dogs, they could sense fear. I walked down the hallway, bedecked with blood. I reached the living room door and took in a deep breath. Then I pushed it open.

She was sitting there, in my mother's old rocking chair. Sienna was sitting at her feet, looking scared out of her mind. One of her hands was around Sienna's throat, ready to squeeze the life out of her at any instant.

"How are you? I assume by the method of communication that this is not merely a social meeting?"

"Whatever made you think that?"

"The fact that you killed my sister and wrote on the walls in her blood. That might have had something to do with it"

"Well, I needed to talk to you and I knew you wouldn't agree to it unless I had something you wanted"

"What do you want?"

"I want you to become like me,"

"An unattractive killer?"

"No. A vampire"

"Now, why would I ever do that?"

"Because if you don't, Jasmine will have company very soon"

"So, it's me or her then?"

"I am not killing you; I am giving you new life"

"But you are taking my old one away, in other words, you are killing me"

"You can look at it whatever way you want but you can either become a vampire or your sister can die"

"Excuse me?"

"Neither of those things is going to happen"

"One will happen Ashley, you can count on that"

"You will NOT harm my sister or turn me," I said, filling my voice with command. She froze. Then she burst out laughing.

"Your little party trick may work on humans but not on me. You are insignificant as a human" she tightened her grip on Sienna's throat. Sienna made a muffled cry. I couldn't let her be killed.

"Do you promise she won't be harmed?" I said. Sienna cried out again, trying to tell me not to do it.

"Not by me"

"Do it. Bite me. Make me immortal" she grinned wickedly and her teeth sliced into my throat. I screamed as the venom, which had penetrated my veins before only to be withdrawn, burnt its way through me.
