Could this flight be any longer, I thought to myself. I was on my way home from Fashion Week in Paris. I love the shows, but it's pure hell. This time more than others, as I felt like I was fighting a mild form of the flu. I'll have to have Edward give me a prescription or something. I hated feeling like this. But, I get to see Emmett soon, so that makes it better.

"Would you like something to drink," a flight attendant asked.

"Do you have 7-Up?"

She handed me a small glass and a small can, which I quickly drank. Since when do you drink 7-Up straight, I thought. When I landed, I found Emmett right away. He was standing in his usual spot - in front of the Starbucks with a bouquet of sunflowers in his hands. I immediately threw my arms around him and buried my face in his chest.

"Where's this coming from babe," he asked.

"I don't know. I guess I just missed you."

I looked up to give him a kiss when I felt my stomach turn. I ran to the nearest garbage can and thew up. Great. It really is the flu. Could this day get any worse?

"Alice and Jasper are in town. We're meeting everyone over at Edward's for a bar-b-que. Is that okay?"

By the time we reached Edward and Bella's, I needed to throw up again.

"What's wrong with her," Edward asked.

"Flu or something."

"UNCLE EMMETT!" Masen yelled from the living room.

Before he could say anything, Masen came plowing at me and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Hey little man," I said.

"Come on, you gatta see my new trophy!"

Masen led me up to his room and showed me the newly added trophy. it had been a while since I had seen him in action, which I felt guilty for, but I couldn't help it. Business was hectic and I was putting in long hours between the office and working at home. After Masen told me all about the game, we rejoined the family in the living room. Carlisle and Esme had arrived as well. Esme was gushing over the newest Cullen - Lillian, with Carlisle holding Jackson. Rosalie was sitting on the chair next to the large window, looking rather uncomfortable. I could tell she was thinking about something by the look on her face, and because she wouldn't look at me.

"Edward, I have to run to the store, I forgot something," Bella said from the kitchen.

"I'll come with you," Rose said and followed Bella out to the car.

While riding in the car with Bella, I pulled out my Blackbury and started looking at a calendar. I kept track of my periods religiously, as I really wasn't ready for children.

"Everything okay, Rose," Bella asked.

"Just not feeling the greatest."

"Were the shows crazy this year?"

"They always are.”

I walked with Bella while she quickly picked up the few items she needed. When we passed the tampons/pads and pregnancy test isle, its like a light went off in my head. Oh snap.

"Rose, did you need something," Bella asked.

I didn't answer her, but rather slowly walked down the isle and stopped in front of the pregnancy tests. This was a sick joke, right? How many freaking pregnancy tests are there? There were some with happy faces, some were actually digital and some were just the regular lines. I am so not ready for this!

Okay, Rose, calm down, I thought to myself, it wouldn't hurt to buy one.

I saw Bella looking at me, and knew my face must be bright red.

"Um, can I ask you a question," I quietly asked.

"Of course."

"Are you sure? You can ask me anything, I won't repeat it."

"Not even to Edward?"

"Not even to Alice."

I took a deep breath.

"So okay, I thought it was the flu, but I checked my calendar and I think I'm two months late."

"Oh. Well, I have a left over pregnancy test at the house if you don't feel comfortable buying one."

"You don't mind?"

"God no. I'm done having babies," Bella said with a laugh.

When we got home, Bella gave the groceries to the guys and together we went upstairs. I waited while she dug the test out of her cabinet. The thought of actually doing this scared me. I wasn't ready to be a mom. Maybe I'm worrying for nothing. Please let it be nothing. Bella appeared with the test in hand.

"Do you want me to wait with you," she asked.

"Just pee and put it on the counter. Don't look at it while it's working, trust me," Bella said handing me the test.

I walked in the bathroom, did my business, washed my hands and joined Bella back in her room. I was nervous and scared. The results could change my entire life. I still wasn't sure if I was ready for all of this.

"Bella, Edward's looking for you," I heard Emmett say through the door.

"Thanks, I'll be right there," Bella said.

"What am I going to tell him," I asked her with fear in my voice.

"Exactly what you're feeling. Honesty is best here, Rose."

Bella got up from her bed and didn't say anything as she walked out. A minute later, Emmett walked in.

"Hey babe. Feeling okay," he asked.

The sight of him caused me to burst into tears.

"What's the matter," he asked as he sat next to me and wrapped an arm around me.

"Em, it' s bad. Real bad," I said.

"What's bad?"

"I'm late," I quietly said.

Emmett didn't say anything right away.

"How late," he asked.

"Like two months."

"Have you taken a,-"

"It's in the bathroom. I can't look at it."

"Why not," he asked with a chuckle.

"Too afraid to."

"Rose, you're not afraid of anything."

"Emmett, don't you get it? If that test is positive, my career is over. I'm not ready to face it yet."

"What? Your career wont' be over just because you're pregnant. If anything, it'll only add to the beauty that you already have."

"What else is bothering you?"

"I'm just afraid..."

"I'm afraid I wont' be good at it like Bella. She makes it all look so easy. What if I'm horrible at it? What if I forget the kid in the car or can't her it during the night? I just don't think I'll be good at it."

"First of all, Bella and Edward have had their struggles with parenting and they've never said it was easy."

"But it just seems effortless. Plus, if I am pregnant, my career is over. What company is going to want a has-been model with stretch marks all over her belly? I like feeling sexy, Emmett. I like the fact that everyone stares at us when we walk into a room. I like knowing that every single guy wishes they were you. It's a high that I'm not ready to give up yet."

"Who says you have to? Just because you're a mother, it doesn't make you less sexy. In fact, I think you would reach a whole new level of sexiness."

"How so?"

"More defined curves and just knowing that you're carrying my child in there...I can't even explain it."

"Emmett, I'm just so scared."

"Rosie, I'll be here with you, throughout everything."

"Rose, if it came down to a million dollar client or going with you to a doctor appointment, I'd chose you. Now lets go see."

Emmett took my hand and together we walked into the bathroom.
