Chapter 16- Voices

Leah and I walked to school, Buster walked behind us. Edward's Volvo pulled into the parking lot after we entered. I realized Buster was still following us so I told him to wait in the woods. Alice came running up to us.

"Bella. We were looking every where for you." Then she whispered in my ear. "And I couldn't see you. I thought you were dead!" Then she glanced at Leah. "Will you be sitting with us at lunch today Bella?" I looked behind her at Edward. Our eyes connected and I couldn't break the connection.

"No, Bella will be eatting with me at lunch today, Leech." Leah said sweetly and towed me away. I didn't realize I was crying until Leah handed me a tissue.

"Don't worry. If you don't want to go there, you can stay with me." She said. I nodded. "Thanks."

At lunch period, Me and Leah skipped school. We went to the Cullen's mansion to get my stuff. I was going to move in with Leah and Seth. Leah said that her dad wouldn't mind as much as her mom would, but if her dad approved then her mom would "suck it up and go with it".

I opened the door and Esme was in the living room. "Ohhh, Bella! Carlisle! Bella's back!" Esme yelled as she ran up and hugged me.

"Hey, I'm going to go sleep over at Leah's for a while. Is that okay?" I asked feeling guilty that I worried them.

"Sure. For how long?" Carlisle asked.

"I'm not sure. Me and Edward got into a argument so I'm going to stay at Leah's for a while. I wouldn't want him to move out." I said walking by them and up the stairs. Leah followed me. I got almost all of my clothes. Buster's bed, that he rarely sleeps in, and a few of his toys. We walked out and I said good-bye to Esme and Carlisle.

When we got closer to her house, I called Buster. He didn't come at first and that scared me.

"BUSTER! HERE BOY!" I yelled. He came, slowly. He had his front paw in the air and limped toward me. I walked over to him.

"What's wrong boy? Hurt your paw?" I asked him, not expecting an answer. 'I got it stuck in a tree root.'

I froze. "Leah, Did you say something?" I asked her. She looked at me skepticaly.

"No. Why?"

"No reason." 'it hurts. Mommy make it stop hurting.' There it was again. The voice. I leaned down to Buster.

"Are you talking?" I asked him.

He whined. 'It hurts! Mommy.'

I froze. "Oh my goodness! Leah! Come here!" I yelled. She came over here fast.

"What? What's wrong? Is he hurt?" She asked franticly. I looked at her, my eyes wide. "What?"

"I can hear him."

"Yeah, so can I. He whinning loudly."

"No. In my head. I can hear his voice." Her eyes flew open.

"Like, He's talking to you?" I nodded.

"What does this mean?" She asked. I shrugged my shoulders.

"Hey guys, or girls." Yelled Seth, snickering. As he got closer, he saw the frightened look on our faces. "What?" He asked, running up to us.

"Seth. We have a slight situation. Get the others." Leah ordered. Seth nodded and ran into the woods. To do what, I'm not sure.

'Mommy! Help me.' Again I heard the voice in my head...
