Jasper maintained his distance during that following week but I often caught him looking at me. I was still waiting for the right moment to put my plan into actions. I had decided to go on this date with him, and wait until he asked me out again. If he didn't, I'd have to come up with a new plan. So, the weekend arrived again and once again, I got flustered. He was part of my mission! I wasn't supposed to worry about it! I wanted to impress him, because of my mission, no other reason. But I knew that wasn't true and that worried me. Vampires were highly intuitive, especially Neferet. If Vascado got wind that, I was actually getting personally involved with a subject for myself...who knows what they'd do. I was also worried about Cara. She was a good kid and if she got hurt because of me, I'd never forgive myself.

DING DONG! The doorbell rang and I hurried down. I opened it. Jasper was lounging against the frame, looking cool and, I must say, incredibly sexy. He was wearing a plain white shirt and tight blue jeans.

"Wow" he muttered under his breath.

"What?"

"Nothing" I raised and eyebrow and folded my arms.

"I was just thinking...you look amazing" I looked at my clothes. I'd plumped for my denim skirt and black tank top.

"Thanks. You look pretty good too. So where are you taking me?"

"You have two options. One, you can come over to my house and relax by watching a film. Two, we can go do something fun but I can't guarantee you will be home by midnight"

"No third option?"

"Well" he looked me in the eyes and I struggled to remain my composure "You could stay here" he looked sad at that idea so I sighed and shook my head.

"Option two please"

"Oh, fancy a party?"

"Yes" I followed him to where he'd parked.

"A motorbike?"

"Yep. Got a problem with it?"

"No. But I am wearing a skirt" he grinned as I climbed onto the back. He climbed in front of me.

"Hold on to me" he said.

"Excuse me? What kind of girl do you take me for Mr. Cullen?" I said.

"So you don't fall off you idiot" he moved my hands so they were wrapped around his waist. Then the bike revved into life. We sped off. It was exhilarating, the wind in my hair and the complete sense of freedom. I pushed myself closer to Jasper as he sped up. That just heightened the excitement, feeling him against me. God! I was turning into a slut! I barely knew this guy! I relaxed slightly. Neferet couldn't know about just one night? I wasn't going to tell him anything and it would get me closer to him for my mission. Mission, which was what I had to focus on. He stopped after about ten minutes. We were in a small street but it was throbbing with music. A nightclub stood to one side, the Rockin' Reptile! What a goofy name.

"Come on" he climbed off the bike and helped me down. I was just going to have some fun with a friend tonight. Jasper and I were friends! When we went in, Jasper bought me an expensive cocktail and as soon as I'd drunk it, I pulled him onto the dance floor. I didn't think about vampires, missions, Cara, Neferet or Vascado. I just thought about Jasper.
