On the surface

Niam has no one, except the memories of her dead parents. On the surface she seems fine. hardworking, friendly. but she's not. she's upset with herself. And lonely. She needs someone who will look into her soul and save what she has left. Teen rating for darkness...

This was exceptionally easy to write. So lots of updates i hope. This is before Bella comes on the scene (and no, Edward is not going to get off with Niam) and before the Cullen's go to Forks.

I couldn't believe I'd yelled at him. Okay, I was touchy about that subject and it really was none of his business but he'd been kind to me. I was tempted to ham it up and escape home. But then Lance would be worse when he got home after trying to pick me up. I decided I'd better stick it out until the bitter end.

I didn't get a chance to apologize to Jasper during that day. Whenever I saw him and tried to talk to him, he ignored me. At the end of the day, he left history quickly to avoid me talking to him.

"Jasper. Please talk to me"

"I am simply respecting your wishes"

"I want to apologize! I was stressed out from the whole fainting thing"

"Apology accepted. Goodbye" he stalked off to his car and I was left, feeling dejected. I stood at the edge of the parking lot watching him leaving. I heard a horn beep and saw Lance sitting in his car.

"Come on! I haven't got all day!" he called. I walked slowly over to his car and he drove us home. I expected him to drag me upstairs to his room like he did every time he had a chance. He did it to me about once a week, more if he could. If his family were around, he'd take me out for a ‘walk' and do it in the forest. Disgusting perve. But instead, he said,

"Go and get changed. We're going out. Oh, and wear something nice" I went upstairs and changed obediently. I knew from experience that defying him didn't achieve anything. I had nothing he would deem ‘acceptable' so I put on a white skirt of Cara's and a tight black shirt. We were the same shoe size too, so I slipped on her cream pumps.

"You really need to get some decent clothes," said Lance when I shambled downstairs.

"Where exactly are you taking me?"

"I'm going to see some friends of mine, you're coming too"

"What? Have you told them you have a girlfriend and you want to show her off, even though you could never get a real girlfriend because you're a creep, so you're using me instead?"

"I never told them you were my girlfriend" my heart pounded harder.

"I told them you were my slave" he leered at me. I wanted to slap him. Or better yet, kill him. A thought crossed my mind, but I dismissed it. He shoved me outside to his car.

"You are to keep your mouth shut, okay? One smart ass remark and I will make your life hell"

"Worse then it is now?" I asked in disbelief.

"Much worse" he smiled evilly. I closed my eyes as he drove. Maybe if I fell asleep he'd leave me alone.

"Get out. We're here," he said a few minutes later. I sighed and climbed out of the car. We were on the cliff and there were some other boys clustered around a building, drinking beer.

"Hey Lance! You made it," this reminded me of the way dad used to parade me for his little pervert friends.

"Yeah, and I brought the evening entertainment" he shoved me forward. I stumbled.

"She's so clumsy! I'd be afraid to use her!" said one and they all laughed. Breathe deep Niam. It will all be over soon.
