We left the island 2 weeks after my call to Carlisle. We were quiet most of the way home. Embry was constantly asking me if I was alright or needed anything. I always told him I was fine and didn't need anything. At the airport in Washington, I was greeted by my whole family. I embraced each of them then, I took the Volvo home with Edward and Bella. I was afraid to ride with Alice because she was talking of a present she got me. Edward told be to be afraid. Alice never downsized anything. Finally, we got home and Carlisle led me to the room that was filled with medical supplies. Everyone trailed along behind us.

Embry and I held hands, as Carlisle put the gel on for the ultrasound. It felt strange and cold. I kept my eyes on Embry's the whole time. Carlisle confirmed I had two babies, very full of life inside of me. Everyone cheered. It was too early to tell the sex but, next month I would know. I got off the table and Embry and I kissed happily. “Aw didn't you get enough of that?” Emmett mumbled. I stuck my tongue out at him. He stuck his middle finger up at me. “That's it!” I stalked toward him.

“Hey now. Be careful Emmett. She's fighting with 3.” Edward joked.

“Come on, stop it. We don't want you to kill Emmett, it might upset the baby.” Alice grabbed my hand. Embry looked relieved I wasn't going to fight. I took Embry's hand to calm myself.

“Jasper? Please?” I demanded, pinching the bridge of my nose. I felt a wave of calm hit me. It relaxed me. “Thank you.” I told him. “May I talk to you for a moment?” I asked Jasper. “Sure.” he accepted.

“Well, being pregnant and all doesn't help my temper. May I ask that you stay close to me? Keep me calm. Stress is not good for my babies.” I told him. “Of coarse. Maybe we will be able to talk more?” he wondered to himself. I smiled. He and I walked back to the room.

“We should go shopping!” Alice declared. “A little help Jasper?” he gave her some calmness.

“Oh Jazz. Cut it out. Let me be hyper. Please?” she asked him. “No.” he denied her. She walked toward him. “Pleeeeaaase?” she looked at him with sad eyes. “Go ahead, give Princess her way.” the wave of calm left Alice. “Yay!” she clapped her hands. “We will talk about shopping later.” she threatened, leaving the room. Edward laughed.

“Such a little vampire, soo much annoyance.” he joked. “We were all going to play some baseball. Want to go?” he offered. “Okay.” I told him. We all went to the clearing, as a thunder storm arrived. I just watched. Embry was off telling his pack the news.

Alice was a good pitcher. I loved watching Edward run. He was just so quick. It was ghostly. Suddenly, a big wolf was behind me. “Oh look! Kristy got a puppy too!” Emmett yelled from across the field. Embry growled at him. “Calm down.” I told him, touching his fur. It was so weird to think the man I married was this huge wolf next to me. Edward broke out laughing. Oh crap. I didn't think about it. “It was not that funny Edward! Gosh, you really should stay out of my head. Somethings you will not want to hear.” I thought of punching him. “Ooh scary!” he told me. “Shut up.” what a big brother he was. Maybe he was my favorite brother. I don't know I knew him best. “Thank you.” he answered my thoughts. Embry turned and walked away. “Where are yo-” I stopped he was going to phase. He trotted back from the trees, wearing a black shirt and tan shorts. They made him look so muscular, so hot. He came to lift me up from the huge rock I sat on. He sat down, putting me on his lap.

“You really don't think I'm getting fat?” I asked him. “Tell the truth, I'll know if your lying.” I pointed to my temples. “No! God no! You are not fat. Tell her she's not fat!” he shouted to the Cullen's. “Well, I thought she was gaining....” Emmett started but stopped because I turned and ran away, crying. Why was I crying? Why did this upset me? Stupid hormones. Stupid Emmett. I was fat. I knew it. Embry wouldn't tell me I was, Emmett told it all. I got to the house, running to my room. It wouldn't be long until someone came to find me. I heard a knock on my door. Surprisingly, it was Emmett.

“Why are you crying?” he asked me rudely, which made me cry harder. He walked to the bed, sitting down. He pulled me over to him, making me cry on his huge, muscular shoulder. My legs were on his thighs. This was a first. Emmett was comforting me. His cold skin made me feel better. “I'm sorry. I was just kidding. You're not fat.” he apologized. “Rose may be fatter than you.” he whispered. I laughed. “There you go! Just laugh. I'm not serious. Geez hormones much?” he joked. “Thank you, Emmett.” I said. He hugged me. “Ugh.” I complained. “What?” he asked me. “I think the babies want to hug you too.” I said. He smiled. Everyone else came home. Rose walked up into my room. She looked at me and Emmett, confused. “Emmett comforting someone? Ha!” she laughed.

“Oh go away, Rose. Just kidding.” he took back his words. I got up. Emmett helped me. I could tell his jokes would be lighter now. Emmett, Rose, and I walked downstairs.
