Towering California Redwoods

Murky haze has settled

Faint drizzle floats downward

Muted rustle of leaves

Searching for hope

A shimmer of white

Soft thud of a landing

Needing the comfort

Disappeared forever

Stumble over the packed dirt path

Searching for what should be there

Steadying myself with the help of the trees

Blurring of the forest

Cool soil pressed against my cheek

Feeling of incompleteness

Forever seeking for my other half
