Forever

They say nothing lasts forever,

it eventually has to end.

But,

I do not believe what they say.

Somethings last forever,

things like you,

my immortal.

I used to think that our love

could survive the tests of time,

something timeless,

endless.

Yet, I now see how it was not to be,

how it was going to end,

how it was going to die.

I know that I will die,

that I will end.

I have accepted it,

how I will never be like you.

How I will never be an immortal.

Yet, I still can dream painful dreams...
