“What’s taking Alice so long?” I asked worriedly.

“Something must be wrong; she would never leave us hanging like this.” Emmett was saying.

“Edward, can you hear her thoughts at all?” I asked.

“No, she’s blocking them. I have no idea where she is. Dammit Alice.” Edward growled frustrated.

Ring… ring… ring….

“Hello? Alice!!!” I answered my phone.

“I will only say this once, so listen up. Don’t look for me, don’t follow me, and don’t worry yourselves. Maria has been taken care of, as well as the rest of your problems. Tell Jasper I don’t love him anymore, I can’t handle the disgrace of his past any longer. If any of you come looking for me, I will know, and I will not be found. Goodbye Bella, don’t squander your second chance, embrace it.” And with that, Alice hung up.

I couldn’t do anything. I stood there like a fool, letting the phone fall from my grasp and falling to pieces on the tile below me. What had she done? Why would she say those things? Why didn’t she love Jasper? I let the tears fall from my face as I looked around the room, everyone was just as heartbroken as I was, it was evident. Jaspers face broke my heart though. These last couple of days, he had believed that we were all ashamed of him because of his past, and Alice had just thrown that into his face. How could she?

Just then I heard Edward growl and saw him crouched ready to spring, aimed at the door. Everyone else turned, with much less enthusiasm. Just then the door swung open, revealing a very unexpected sight. Standing before us was a terrifyingly sinister young girl of about the age of 14, she looked like an angel. It was weird to have her look so horrifying. Next to her was a large man that looked about Emmett’s size. He stood with his arms crossed and a slightly smug smile played on his lips. I noticed he held the dress Alice was supposed to hide in one of his fists.

“I believe this belongs to you all.” She said as she tossed me an oddly shaped round object. It was a second before I realized what it was… a severed head. I dropped it and gave a blood curdling scream. It was Maria's head. Good thing we were the only ones on this floor. Edward leaped at her, before he fell to the floor withering in pain.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” She motioned to Edward. At that the big guy next to her threw the dress at Jasper.

“Your little pixie asked us to deliver this to you so that you could remember your past by it.” He said. Jasper just glared at him. I swear, if looks could kill…

“Where’s Alice?” Carlisle demanded.

“That is of no concern to you anymore Carlisle.” The girl stated.

“She is part of my coven Jane, it is of my concern.”

“Well not anymore. Let me enlighten you all. Your little pixie came to us with a trade. We spare you all with your lives in exchange for hers. She will now be a permanent fixture on the Volturri guard. And it has been signed in blood, so there is no breaking it. I was asked to make it seem as if she didn’t love you all anymore, but I felt you all should hear the whole, unfair truth.” At that, Jane smiled wickedly and turned to leave. “Oh and one more thing, you will be visited soon to determine the punishment for allowing a human to know our existence. It seems that your pixie forgot to include that in her surrender, hahahahahaha.” And she walked out and left with her body guard.

What are we going to do?
