Today was Dylan’s funeral. We were in the clearing, the very same spot were we had fought and where my protector had fallen. There in the middle of all of us who had fought stood Dylan’s coffin. His face was peaceful. Where was I when things went wrong> where was I when he fought those vampires who had killed them? What was I doing? Why didn’t anyone help him in time? So many questions that I cannot answer. We were going to burn him, but I wished they wouldn’t. I knew he would want to got the traditional way but still. One bloodshot tear ran down my face and splashed to the ground. Everybody had finished saying their goodbyes, it was only me left.

“Can I have a minute alone?” I asked everyone. Everyone dispersed but Edward stayed at my side.

“Do you want me to stay?” He asked with hope in his voice.

“No, I need to say my goodbye alone.” I said looking at him. I could see he still didn’t want to go. “Edward please.” I whispered on the verge of tears. I heard him hesitate and then go. I walked up to Dylan’s coffin and stroked his face. He was at rest now. He lived a long life with happiness.

“Dylan, I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you when you needed me. You were there to protect me even when I didn’t return the favor. My beautiful fallen soldier, I love you. I’m sorry so sorry.” I whispered to him. More bloodshot tears pouring down my face. Even though I had just met him it was liked I knew him my whole entire life. Just imagine what would’ve happened if I was still human and went to Dartmouth. It would be way different then it was now. Ugh! Why didn’t I help him when he needed me. “ Rest in peace my love.” I said kissing him on the lips. He was stone cold. I grabbed his hand and placed it in mine. A few more minutes passed and everyone started to come back. My clothes were soaked in blood from all my crying. Edward ran to my side and pulled me into a hug, I snuggled closer to him getting blood everywhere.

“I’m sorry about you clothes.” I whispered to him

“Its okay love, its okay” He replied I think saying it was okay that I got his shirt stained and trying to comfort me.

“Its time.” Crashing sun said. “Bella would you like to do the honors. I nodded. He closed the coffin. I focused on the coffin with tears coming to my eyes as I made it become engulfed in flames. Life, love, happiness is nothing without friends and today I lost a friend for eternity. I was still in Edwards arms as I stared at what stood before me.

“Farewell my fallen soldier.” I whispered as it drifted away into the air soon disappearing. As the coffin turned into ashes the air swept it away carrying it further and further. Soon we all dispersed, never to see the children of the moon ever again.

* Couple days later*

Life went on and soon became normal. Renesmee was growing up way to fast and Jacob was finally back to normal. We also decided to stay in forks. I was checking my email when I came across a message that I totally completely forgot about. Jessica’s wedding!
