I sat in the downstairs living room.
“Em, wanna go upstairs?” I offered, flipping my perfect blond hair.
“Hell yeah! See ya guys!” he addressed our family and ran with inhuman speed to me, his curls bouncing.
Alice's face suddenly went blank. In a second, it was over. She burst into laughter and Edward chimed in.
“What is it?” I asked, only a little interested.
“Oh, nothing. Something funny on TV tonight. Good night,” she was cut off by hysterical laughter. “Rose.” she barely finished her sentence.
I rolled my golden eyes and disregarded her. Emmett and I went upstairs for the night.
My clock read 5 am. I love Emmett. He was the one person I actually loved, and he loved me back. I had the most perfect body in the world, but I know I am a bit bitchy.
He was the one person who saw past that and loved me for me. Not the way Royce, my idiotic human fiancée, 'loved' me. That son-of-a-bitch had what I gave him coming. He was the one that was the reason I lost my humanity....
I glided to my long mirror in my walk-in closet to see the worst thing that could ever possibly happen.
I. Saw. A. Zit. On. My. Face.
My face? My perfect immortal face?! No, this was a joke. Alice and Edward, they were playing a joke on me. They had to be. Vampires do not get zits! Right?
“Emmett!” I screeched. He was at my side in less than a second.
“WHAT?!” he screamed back at me.
“What do you see on my face?!” I demanded.
“Uh, maybe you should ask Carlisle.” he suggested.
“Emmett, I swear to god I will never touch you again if you don't answer my fucking question!” I threatened.
“Er, Rose. I don't wanna have to tell you this, but I think it's a, um, zit?” he told me nervously.
“CARLISLE!!!!” I screamed, bolting down the stairs.
“Yes, Rosalie? What is it?” he asked, curiously.
“My face!” I screamed dramatically, pointing to the ugly red blotch on my face.
“Rose, calm down. I've never seen anything like this but, it seems you have a pimple. A human trait you must still have. Quite odd, I would say myself.” he explained.
“When will it be gone?!” I demanded.
“I don't know. I've never seen this before on a vampire.” he shrugged.
“ALICE!” I shouted, running to her and Jasper's room, not bothering to knock. I flung the door open.
“You knew about this, didn't you?!” she didn't answer.
“DIDN'T YOU?!” I screeched. She nodded.
“When will the damn thing be gone?!” I asked her.
“Rose, if you don't stop talking to me like that, I won't tell you anything.” she replied.
“When will the zit be gone?” I lowered my tone, speaking through my teeth. She searched the future.
“A week.” she confirmed.
“A WEEK?!” I exploded.
“That's it! Get out of my room!” she yelled.
“Fine. Edward!” I was making my rounds to everyone in the house.
“I cannot believe you didn't tell me Edward! I hate you!” I screamed at him and ran to my room.
Emmett stood in the doorway, I pushed him out and slammed the door.
“Rose! Come on! Let me in! You look fine, I bet nobody will notice! Open the door!” he pleaded.
I was too wrapped up in looking at my ugly zit in the mirror to listen to what he asked. I heard an abrupt smash as he knocked the door down.
“Emmett Cullen! You broke my door! Get out! Esme's gonna kill you!” I yelled. He ignored me.
Edward and Alice came in with smiles on their faces.
“Would you like me to order some Proactive, oh perfect one?” Edward asked me, he and Alice bursting into laughter. I hissed.
“I. Hate. You. Edward. Cullen.” I growled, fighting the urge to lunge for his throat.
“I'm not going anywhere for a week, until this monstrosity is gone. Nobody ask me otherwise. Nobody talk to me, nobody look at me. Everyone get out!” I ordered. Nobody listened to me.
“DID I SPEAK A LANGUAGE YOU DON'T KNOW?! GET OUT!!!” I screeched.
Alice and Edward left, leaving Emmett who probably wouldn't leave no matter what.
“Rose? 'S not so bad. Stop overreacting. Calm down.” he tried to calm me down.
“Emmett, don't you think I have a right to be angry? Look at this! My perfection is ruined by this!” I pointed to my face.
“Well, if you not leaving for a week... what am I supposed to do?” he asked.
“I don't care. Wait, can I ask you a favor?” I was not quite as angry, but still dangerous.
“Can you, I never thought I'd ever say this, um... go buy me some Clearasil or something?” I looked away from him, too embarrassed.
“Sure, sure.” he left the room.
Wow, I thought to myself. No jokes? I really love this Emmett, so different.
“Don't worry! Alice and I will take Emmett's place with the jokes!” Edward threatened. I fumed.
This was going to be the longest week of my existence......
