Unknown Desire

I realized the moment I saw him I loved him. That I could never love anyone else, no matter what I may think. That at this very moment, I wanted his lips on mine, and I wanted him. Forever.

Nessie's POV

I woke up to my Aunt Alice waking me up excitedly.

“Nessie! Time to go shopping!” she screamed. I instantly regretted agreeing to go shopping with her. I had just finished high school! I wanted to sleep! I groaned and turned away from her.

“Don't be lazy! Come on! You promised. Get dressed and be in my Porsche in 10 or I'll come and get you!” she threatened and left the room.

I reluctantly got up and walked to my closet to find something to wear. I settled for a skirt, so I could easily try things on, a blouse, and a pair of strappy healed shoes. I had finally reached full growth, so I don't have to worry about growing out of my clothes anymore. I walked down the stairs to see my Dad. Damn it.

“Renesmee Carlie Cullen! What are you wearing?” he yelled.

“Clothes.” I smiled sarcastically as I pushed past him. Well, I tried to push past him, but he wouldn't budge.

“DAD!” I shouted.

“I'm an adult now! I'm going shopping with Aunt Alice! Not to a club! MOVE!” I demanded, he still refused. My mom came to us and I breathed a sigh of relief.

“Could you please tell your husband to move?” I asked her. She smiled.

“What's the problem, Edward?” she looked at my father. He pointed at my outfit.

“May I repeat, what's the problem, Edward?” she knew she was gonna win, as always. He pinched the bridge of his nose.

“My daughter and the way she's dressed.” he sighed.

“There's nothing wrong with the way she's dressed. She's going with Alice for God's sake! What do you think Alice is gonna do at the mall? You know, shop! That's all their doing is going shopping. Calm down Edward.” she stared straight into his eyes as she spoke. He huffed and stepped out of my way.

“Bye Daddy! Bye Mom!” I called as I kissed them both on the cheek and ran into Aunt Alice's car as she was impatiently honking the horn.

“Finally!” she appraised me. “Nice outfit though.”

“Thanks. Dad had a fit and Mom had to calm him down.” I explained, she rolled her eyes and began to speed to Seattle. I mentally cringed at the thought of what my parents were probably doing now.

After an hour, what should have taken hours, we reached a mall in Seattle. Aunt Alice pulled me through practically every store in the mall, making countless trips to the car, buying thousands of dollars in clothes. Our last stop, Victoria's Secret.

I loved their PINK section, and was pretty excited to go there and buy new clothes. Alice had me trying on everything the store offered, even some lingerie.

“What's this for?” I asked as she gave me one of the pieces.

“I don't know. Nice to have I guess. May come in handy for you and Jake.” she waggled her little eyebrows suggestively. I rolled my eyes.

“Not anytime soon.” I replied. Maybe not ever. I added to my own thoughts.

It's not that I don't love Jake, but I don't know, there's not much there. He's pretty good looking, I guess. But, I've grown up with him! He feels more like a best friend, or a brother. I know he loves me in both ways, but everyone expects me to love him and I just don't know if I like that pressure.

He looks at me in an adoring way and I can't help but feel a small pull toward him, but nothing huge. I don't think I want to spend forever with him. I want to play the field instead of have one option my whole life.I want to date. How would I tell anyone that, especially Jake. I would have to do it soon, so my intentions were clear.

“Nessie? Nessie? Hello?” Alice called as I snapped out of my state of mind.

“Oh, sorry. What'd you say?” I shook my head to clear my thoughts.

“I said, do you like it all?”

“Oh, yeah! I want everything.” I spoke the words as her eyes lit up.

“Okay!” she grinned as we approached the cashier.

“That'll be $655.25.” the cashier said. Alice gave her $700 in cash.

“Keep the change.” Alice winked as we grabbed our bags and left. The cashier looked stunned. We giggled about it the whole way home.

When we finally got home, Emmett and Jasper were outside.

“Get the bags!” Alice demanded as we walked in the house. I stopped dead in my tracks.

“Hi Jake.” I breathed.
