Unknown Desire

I woke up to see Jake's smiling face, I couldn't help but grin back even though I didn't know the reason for his happiness.

“Why are you so happy?” I wondered. Instantly, I remembered my dream. A replay of my date. Oh crap. I probably babbled on and on about it.

“You kept saying you love me.” he answered. I was a little embarrassed, I hid my face in my hair and turned away from him. I felt his warm hand brushing my hair out of my face, which I just pulled back to hide myself.

“Don't be embarrassed.” he said softly, still trying to reveal my face. I gave up and moved my hair, still turned away from him so he wouldn't see my deep red blush.

“I wish you talked in your sleep.” I grumbled.

“You would hear the same thing.” he informed me.

“Oh, so you dream about yourself?” I giggled.

“No, silly, I dream about you.” he chuckled. Slowly, I turned around and faced him.

“Really?” I asked.

“Duh!” he said sarcastically, causing me to hide my face again.

“Stop it.” he tried to brush my hair away again, this time I let him. I looked to see he was awfully close to my face, which caused me to giggle.

“Whatcha laughing at?” he wondered.

“Nothing.” I replied, his eyebrows raised. The thought of how ironic it was, since this happened last night, caused me to laugh more.

“Tell me.” he insisted.

“Really, I don't know why I'm laughing. It must be because I'm in a good mood. Oh well!” I waved my hand dismissively, he laughed at my reason.

“Time for me to get ready!” I leaped off the bed, toward my closet.

“For what?” he asked.

“Shopping!” I exclaimed, he playfully rolled his eyes.

“Will you be gone all day?” he frowned.

“I dunno. Ask Alice.” I suggested.

“If your going with Alice, you may not return.” he grinned, I stuck my tongue out at him and shut the door of my closet to get dressed.

I quickly dressed in jeans and a sweatshirt with a t-shirt underneath, grabbed my purse, and walked out of the room to find Alice, ignoring Jake. He followed me out.

“Alice!!” I screamed, which was unnecessary, she was at my side in a flash.

“Ready to go?” she jumped up and down excitedly. I nodded and told her to get the car ready, she darted downstairs.

“I'll miss you.” Jake said as he pulled me to him.

“I'll miss you too.” I smiled. He leaned down to kiss me, but was interrupted by Alice honking the car horn impatiently.

“You better go, before Alice comes back.” he grinned.

“Who cares, I wanna finish this.” I murmured, returning to where we left off. As we kissed, I grabbed his neck and he grabbed my waist. There was another impatient honk, and he pulled away chuckling.

“I'll kill her.” I growled as I stalked out of the house and got in her yellow Porsche, waving goodbye to Jake.

“Thanks.” I mumbled sarcastically to Alice.

“You need to learn to hurry up!” she explained.

“You need to learn patience.” I replied sourly, she rolled her eyes.

“I know what you're gonna do.” she said randomly.

“What are you talking about?” I asked, shocked.

“I know what you and Jake are gonna do.” she looked away from me.

“How? I thought you couldn't see wolves?” I was completely stunned.

“I can't, but I know.” she responded.

“How? What do you know?” I demanded.

“I didn't see it, I just can tell.” she answered.

“But, how?” I repeated.

“I'm perceptive.” she shrugged.

“Are you gonna tell?” I asked, worried she would get me in trouble.

“No! Nobody knows. Nobody wants to know, I wouldn't say a word. Promise.” she reassured me. I breathed a sigh of relief.

“But, I'm curious. How did you know?” I repeated, for the third time.

“I just sense it. I don't know.” she explained.

“Please don't tell.” I begged.

“Don't worry.” she nodded.

“Thank you.” I thanked her.

“No problem.” she nodded.

“We're here.” she grinned, I rolled my eyes.

After five hours of shopping, I decided to put my foot down.

“Alice! I'm done shopping!” I announced as she tried to tow me into another store.

“Fine. One more store?” she begged.

“Alright. No more after this.” I ordered, she clapped her hands and dragged me into a lingerie store. Oh crap. I thought as I imagined the reason for her bringing me into this store.

“No, Alice! No!” I practically shouted at her.

“Why?” she whined.

“I'm not ready for that step yet!” I almost started to cry.

“Don't worry, you'll need it soon. I know.” she tapped her temple.

“No, you don't.” I said icily.

“I can just tell! Trust me!” she pulled me into the store. I walked in to see a nightmare.
