This picks up/re ends new moon. Edward and Bella go to meet Jacob and it turns into Bella's worst nightmare.
I realized as i was writing this that you kind of need to forget the whole Charlie-finding-out-about-motorcycles thing. It just didnt fit into the plot of this story. DISCLAMER: This story is an alternate ending/sequel to new moon and twilight, both of which were written by Stephenie Meyer. All characters and such are property of her, not me.

I looked at Edward in alarm. Jacob couldn’t do this! We were friends, and this...this was just an accident! I mean, of course this is what I wanted, but….Jake! I ran downstairs in a flash, barely noticing my new graceful steps. I burst out the front door, and came to a stop at the edge of the woods on the southern side of the house. I saw the pack walking slowly this way, in their human forms.
“Look, this…it’s not what you think it is, Jake. Just listen to me, please!” I said. Jacob wasn’t looking at me; his attention was focused somewhere just beyond my right shoulder. Edward! I thought. I spun around, and saw him standing there.
“Edward, please. Let me talk to them first.”
He did not look happy about it, but he reached to touch my hand with his before he turned around to return to the house. I tore my eyes away from his retreating body to face my friend. Jake was now standing directly in front of me, shaking.
“Jake…” I said, reaching for his hand. He pulled it away from me.
“Bella. Bella how could you? We were friends, Bella. And you do this to us. You would have been safe with me, which is more than I can say for your bloodsucking friends,” he glared. I noticed that Sam and the rest of the pack stood behind Jake. Apparently they were letting he and I settle this before they got involved/
“Jake, it doesn’t have to be this way. We can still be friends…can’t’ we?”
He shook his head, “Bella, as much as I want that to happen, that time is over. And it’s not coming back,” he turned around to face the pack. “Sam, I’m finished.” As soon as he said that, I heard the front door swing, and saw Edward standing next to me along with the rest of the Cullens.
“I told them everything while I was inside,” he whispered into my ultra sensitive ears. He held my hand, rubbing his thumb in tiny circles on it. The pack was still talking amongst themselves, so I turned to Edward and asked, “What are they talking about?”
He looked at me wistfully, remembering when I had asked a similar question only to get another response, “They’re talking about what they plan to do. Jake doesn’t want to fight you specifically, but he’s interested in me. Sam intends on fighting Carlisle since he’s the head of the family. Embry, Paul, and the rest of the pack will take Esme and Alice and Jasper.” I remembered then that Emmet and Rosalie were honeymooning again, this time in Alaska with Tanya. Edward continued, “I know this is going to be difficult for you Bella, but I don’t see an alternative. We’re going to have to fight them.” I gasped.
Carlisle was at my side then, “Bella, Edward is right. We broke the treaty, and they won’t care if it was an accident or not.” He put his hand on my shoulder comfortingly. I was too lost in indecision to notice.
I shook my head, “I can’t, Edward, I can’t do this. I won’t fight Jake.” He took his hand from mine and put both of his on either side of my face.
“Bella, I’m sorry. But we don’t really have a choice. People are going to be hurt today, nothing can change that. I wish I could, but I can’t. Bella, you don’t have to, but I’d rather you just wait inside, in my room. Do what you can to keep the noise from reaching you.” He let go of my face, and motioned for me to go. Then he grabbed my hand and pulled me close, “I love you, Bella. Please, remember that no matter what happens.” He kissed me roughly, and then let go of me. I ran to his room, realizing the while exchange only took a few seconds. The pack was just now breaking up into ranks. I heard menacing canine growls, followed by Edward’s snarl. I put my hand over my mouth to try and stop myself from becoming hysterical. I was in Edward’s room within seconds, and I flung myself onto his leather couch. He had Debussy playing in the background, reminding me of the early days of our relationship. Despite my distance, I still heard the snarls and growls of the fight outside. My attempts failed, and I was soon shaking violently and my chest was aching. I sobbed for hours, without any tears escaping my perfect eyes. I don’t know how long it was before Edward finally appeared; he looked terrible.
“Is it over?” I asked. He nodded his head weakly. “Edward, are you ok?” I rushed over to him, and he collapsed into my arms. I didn’t know what to do. “Edward, Edward! What’s happened to you??” I pulled him over to the sofa, laying his head on my lap. I brushed his hair out of his eyes. “Edward, Edward what happened?” I whispered. He didn’t answer. If I didn’t know any better, I would assume he was sleeping; his eyes were closed and his breathing was slow. I leaned my head back. I spent the night thinking about everything that had occurred. I looked down, and Edward was still laying on me. I brushed his skin with my fingertips, “Edward?” His eyes fluttered open.
“Bella? Bella, is that you?”
I smiled, he was so handsome when he was confused. “Yes, who else would it be?”
“What—what just…did I sleep?”
“I think you did. How are you feeling?”
He laughed, confused, “Great. It’s like nothing ever happened…”
My smile faded as the horrors of yesterday returned to my thoughts. “Edward, what did happen last night?”
He looked reluctant, so I encouraged him with a kiss on the forehead. He smiled slightly, “We convinced the pack that we would leave the area; Jacob knows it was an accident. Except…”
“Bella…I told him that I intended to change you at some point; the logic was working on me, and I knew it was reckless of me to risk your life and my family’s to keep you human. If you were never changed, Victoria or the Volturi would have tried to kill you and/or my family. I couldn’t let that happen, so I decided that I would change you. I never intended it to happen as soon as it did or the way it did….I wanted to wait until it was absolutely necessary, so that you could be human for a few more years. Jacob wasn’t happy to hear that; he wanted me to break up with you, which, by the way, I will never do. Unless of course, you change your mind….”
“Edward Anthony. Why do you keep saying that? I never want to be parted from you again! Do you know what it felt like, seeing you walk in here hurt? It made me feel physical pain. I love you, Edward, ok? Get over it.” I laughed when I said the last part. It lightened the mood, and he laughed, too. He sat up and pulled me onto his lap. While he was kissing my neck, I felt his breathing quicken. If I still had a pulse, it would have stopped just about now. I groaned, “You’re doing it again, driving me crazy…” He chuckled.
“Oh, and Bella…” His lips moved up my throat to my ear, “I think I know what ability you have.”
“Oh? And what would that be?”
“I think you have healing powers, since I slept last night, and from what I can tell, so did everyone else in the house. Carlisle is on his way here now.”
Carlisle walked in just as Edward was saying that he would.
“Hello, Bella. Edward.”
“Hello,” we both said. I looked at Edward to see if he wanted me to move, but he just wrapped his arms around me tighter and smirked.
“Bella, I assume Edward has already told you why I am here, but I’ll tell you anyway. Since Edward changed you, you might have an ability, and I think I know what it is.”
I laughed, “Well so does Edward…” They both laughed.
“Well, I’m glad you know what it is. It actually could be quite handy in the medical field; although I don’t know what people would think if someone dying of cancer just walked up and was perfectly fine…Ha, so I guess I’ll let the two of you have a little privacy.” He obviously noticed my discomfort at being seen in Edward’s lap with his lips at my ear. Not that I minded being there, just that his father figure had to see it was a little awkward. He left, closing the door.
“Where were we?” Edward asked suggestively. And with that, his shirt ended up on the floor, followed by just about everything else.
