I was launched off of Sam and hit a tree. Looking back up, Sam was wrestling around with someone. His jaws snapping loudly. There movements were so quick I couldn’t make out what was going on. Three people came running out of the forest at me, there hands creating strong vibrations on my arms.

I couldn’t make out there faces they were tossing and turning me so fast. I felt one of them try to bite me. My anger built quickly, and I screamed. A lose branch fell from the tree, smashing over one of them but he didn’t falter. I closed my eyes, and screamed loudly. I felt them back away from me suddenly.

Opening my eyes, I saw a beautiful woman stalking towards me. Her hair looked like flames encircling her face. She stepped closer to me, and her eyes got wide. I could tell she was shocked. I glanced around for Sam but didn’t see him anywhere. The woman in front of me crouched down and looked around.

“Who are you?!” She spat. The three who had a hold on me before were standing on both sides of her. There eyes were a bright red, and even though I knew I was safe, I couldn’t help being terrified.

Before I had a chance to respond to the woman, I heard what sounded like a crack of thunder. When my eyes registered what had happened, I saw Jasper stalking in a circle with the female. More wolves walked out of the forest and surrounded the three who had a hold on me. They tore into them fiercely. Growls and screams erupted from the fighting in front of me. I felt vibrations on my hand and looked up to see Alice.

“More are coming, just stay where you are. Don’t move.” She said so quickly I almost couldn’t understand. I watched her shoot over to where the female was prancing with Jasper, and tried to snatch her from behind, but she sidestepped quickly.

I felt my heart in my throat in fear Alice would be hurt. I looked around for Edward but seen him no where.

Jasper pounced on the female, and caught her by the throat. She maneuvered her back legs, and kicked him hard, he flew into the rock behind him and it split in two.

I glanced back to the wolves, and saw body parts lying all over the ground. One of the males who had me, was still standing in the circle of wolves. I stepped back quickly as the wolves treaded closer to me, and I felt my back hit something cold.

I turned around to face the red headed female, she grinned wickedly. She grabbed for me and her hand caught and stayed in the air. Confused, she took a step back.

A streak flashed passed me, and I looked over to see a large tree crashing down. Edward was circling with her now. His eyes were wild, she lunged at him and he moved quickly to the right. I heard a horrifying scream and turned to see Alice and Jasper dismembering another one.

My eyes quickly focused on Edward again, he and the female still dancing in circles. The wolf I recognized as Sam lunged quickly at her, and caught her by the arm. She flung him back forcefully and I heard him yelp as he hit the boulder that had been broken.

I felt helpless. I wanted to help. I needed to help. But fear and shock held me rooted to where I stood. I felt as if I couldn’t breath and my thoughts were a big distorted jumble.

It happened so quickly I didn’t see it coming, Edward bolted at her at the same time Alice and Jasper did from behind. Alice from the left and Jasper to the right. They caught her offguard. I heard her screech and her head full of flaming red hair shot my way, I ducked quickly, it hit the tree behind me. I closed my eyes, terrified to watch them destroy the rest of her body.

Dropping to my knees I huddled close to the tree. I pressed my hands to both of my ears, trying to block out the horrible screams of what was going on around me. It seemed like hours before I felt vibrations on my hands. I opened one of my eyes slightly to see Alice standing in front of me. Taking my hands away from my ears slowly everything was silent.

“See, wasn’t that bad now was it?” I looked at her stunned and she laughed. My entire body was trembling.

“You made that so much easier for us Heaven. I’m surpised they approached with no hesitation.”

She smiled and extended her hand out to me. I looked around, and saw the wolves, Jasper, Emmett, and Edward throwing body parts into a large fire. I pushed my guard away from me.

“Carlisle said this was going to be easy, not fun.” Emmett boomed. I took Alice’s extended hand and she helped me up, my legs were still trembling underneath me.

Wrapping my arms around myself, I listened to Emmett boom on.

“There were more than the wolves thought,” I heard what sounded like a growl come from one of the wolves.

“Carlisle, Rosie, Esme and me got at least four.” He chuckled again.

“We had seven, including Victoria.” Jasper said, Emmett grumbled.

“I wanted her, the rest were too easy.”

Jasper chuckled.

Looking at Edward, he was moving quickly. Not joining in the conversation with his brothers, but instead seemed deep in thought. I stepped back further away from the fire. The aroma was strange, it made my stomach turn. Carlisle, Esme and Rosalie walked into the small clearing. Carlisle walked over to me and embraced me tightly.

“Are you alright?” I nodded my head.

“A little shaken up.” Alice said, and Carlisle laughed sadly.

“They were new vampires, maybe a year old. She apparently had been training them in the forests in Canada.”

Alice looked surprised, “She didn’t train them very well.”

Carlisle shook his head, “No she did not, she wasted many young lives.” Esme placed her hand on his shoulder.

“We saved many though Carlisle.” She said. He turned and began to help throw more chunks of body into the fire.

I turned to Alice. My voice cracked badly, “Why are you burning them?” I questioned.

“The only way to kill a vampire is to rip them apart and burn the pieces.” I grimaced at the image of them being torn apart. Silence weighed heavily down upon us, and I sat down nearby a tree. My mind reeling again.

Edward insisted he carry me back to Sam’s. I pushed my guard away from everything but my head. The run was silent, and he was slower than usual. As we came upon the tree lines, Edward stopped.

“Bella’s here.”

I felt my stomach give another lurch. I knew what I had to do, but I hadn’t decided how I was going to do it with a house full of vampires and wolves. I squirmed out of his arms and he looked hurt.

“What is wrong with you? Why are you acting like this to me Heaven?” His tone was louder than usual. I could tell he was getting angry with me.

I didn’t know why I was acting that way to him. Instinctually I felt the need to separate myself from him. To pull myself away, to make the fact of losing him easier. I had fully convinced myself that he wasn’t mine anymore. I never fathomed that Bella would enter his life again. When I would think about her coming back, it never seemed to be a reality to me.

Shaking my head, I could see the anger rise in his face. Then he looked over my shoulder suddenly. Whirling around, Bella was standing behind me.

I had reached my breaking point.

I stormed passed her, I knew what was going to happen. I had to find Alice. Edward called my name, but I ignored him. Bella was back, he had what he pined over for so long.

Jacob was sitting on the tailgate of the truck, and Sam was standing next to him. I could see the anxiety in his eyes clearly, his entire body was trembling violently. I ran as quickly as I could to Alice who was standing near the Volvo.

“Alice, get me out of here please.” I said, halting to a stop in front of her and Jasper. She glanced towards the woods and back to me again. Nodding her head she got into the drivers seat.
