Crack Of Dawn

Please take a look back on my bio.
There, stood at my door, had to be the hottest guy alive. He wore a blue short-sleeved t-shirt that fitted his muscles perfectly, baggy black jeans, a crooked smile playing beautifully on his face.
Bella Swan's father has just kicked her off to boarding school, where she meets her old friend and a completely new friend.

Okay, so I've read a few fanfics that have Bella and Edward meeting differently and with different personalities so I though I'd give it a go.

15. Plastic Leg

Rating 5/5   Word Count 509   Review this Chapter

I don’t know why, and I ain’t the one to complain about it because yeah well yeah I don’t know, but Edward felt that he had to make sure I got down the corridor safely. Actually, I owe him for it. I’ve never used crutches before – hence the good few times I fell over, still holding onto the crutches.

“You wouldn’t have guessed,” he replied, when I confessed.

“Are you going to be okay?” he asked as we reached my door.

“I’m always okay,” I replied, trying not to look into his hypnotic eyes.

“Then you wouldn’t be in the cast, if that were the case.” He winked at me.

“God, how many times do I owe you now?” I tried to recall but he beat me to it.

“I came up with three,” he said, still smiling at me.

“Three?” I repeated. I frowned. I got four.

“Yeah. When you fell asleep outside, saving your life just then and the hoodie you borrowed.”

“Wow. That is going to take to some time to repay,” I muttered, mainly to myself.

“Don’t worry about it. You don’t have to pay me back at all.” I searched my purse for the keys as I spoke.

“Of course I have to. I mean that would just be unfair if I didn’t.” A hand reached into my purse and pulled out the keys I’d been searching for. I looked up at Edward and took the keys from him.

“Thank you,” I said, as I prepared myself to open the door.

“No problem. And you don’t owe me anything.” He saw I was about to protest so he continued. “Think of it as one friend helping another.” He started to walk backwards, back to his dorm.

“And that friend still repays the other,” I shouted after.

“Nope. That’s just you,” he said, laughing as he started to turn. “I’ll see you around, Bella.” He waved as he disappeared down the corridor.

And that’s when I half fell through the door, forgetting I had crutches for the cast I’d forgotten I had.

You can tell how smart I am, can’t you?

“Two weeks,” I muttered to no one in particular, as I trudged around my room, picking up clothes to wear. “Two goddamn weeks until I can get this stupid plaster off my leg. And stop having a plastic leg like Barbie.”

Oh. My. God.

How the hell am I gonna get jeans on with a cast?

There’s no way I can get jeans on with a cast, without hurting myself further.

I smiled to myself.

Rose and Alice are so going to like my idea.

Watch out boys, I gonna have to wear a skirt, I thought, as I walked over to my chest of drawers, pulling out my choices of skirt – which were either a short denim or a short purple puffy skirt thing.

Denim skirt and a white t-shirt that said, ‘Rawr!’ over my chest.

Watch out Edward – no boys, just boys in general.

Here I come!
