Werewolf Love

What if Jacob ran away after being rejected by Bella and being threatened to have his jaw broken? Jacob wasn't there for the fight. He didn't know about Bella and Edward's engagement, and he definitely didn't know about Renesmee. It is a year after he ran off, and he has finally come back. But what does he find?

This story is going to end up switching from Bella and Jacob's POV. When I say he ran away after he got rejected by Bella, I mean after the first time he kissed her, aka assaulted her. Disclaimer: I do not own anything to do with twilight. I am not Stephenie Meyer, sadly. I just like wting twilight fanfic.=] Enjoy the story!

Jacob’s POV

I knocked on the door to Charlie’s house, hoping that Bella would be the one to answer the door. It was July, so she should be on summer break from college. I wonder what school she went to. I could see her old red Chevy parked on the curb, so she must be home.

When the door finally opened, I was dismayed that Charlie had been the one to answer it.

“Hey Charlie,” I said once the door was open. “Is Bella here?”

“Jake?” he said, dumbfounded. “Is that you? Where have you been? Nobody’s seen you for over a year now. Come on in.”

“Ok,” I replied walking into the house of the girl I love, “I’ve just been travelling around. Where is Bella?”

“Where do you think she is?” Charlie asked sarcastically. ‘She’s at the Cullens’.”

Of course she would be at the bloodsucker’s house. She loves them. After all he did to her; she had just taken him back. I helped her and she turned her back on me. I told her I loved her. I thought she did too. I thought she would want to kiss me too. Not break her hand trying to hurt me. Even though she hated me for it; I don’t regret it. She is in love with me. She just hasn’t figured that out yet.

“But, why is her truck on the curb, then?”

“That old thing? It hasn’t worked since the beginning of last summer. Edward got her a new car. Wow was that a nice car; extremely expensive,” Charlie responded, yearning for Bella’s car.

Wow. Of course he got her a new car. They’re filthy rich. I’ll bet he tampered with the truck so he could buy the new car. I’ll come back here later and fix it up for her. I would have to go home to get my tools, though, and that was not where I wanted to be right now. I want to be with Bella. I knew I should probably wait until Bella came home; but I hadn’t run all the way down here to wait. I had to see her now.

“I’ll see you later Charlie,” I said, all ready running out the door.

I’d never been to the Cullens’ place before, but I should be able to find it easily. Just follow the stench all the way up to the house. And, I found it was easy, because one of them had obviously been to Charlie’s house recently.

When I got to the bloodsucker mansion I went up to knock on the door.

“Hello Jacob,” the vampire doctor said, answering the door. “What brings you here?”

“I came to see Bella,” I replied.

“Jake?” a confused voice said from inside. It was Bella. She was on one of the white couches; with that leech she calls a boyfriend’s arm around her. She looked paler than usual, but as beautiful as ever. Her voice seemed to have changed, but it was probably always like that; memories never did her justice. I looked into her brown eyes, they looked different somehow, but that was probably just another product of my imagination.

“What do you want, dog? Edward asked from beside Bella. She slipped out of his arm and stood up. I walked over to her and hugged her. She smelled bad, but that was probably just a product of being with the leech all day. She was cold also, but why did that matter? Everything was cold to me. After only a couple seconds, I started fantasizing about Bella again and I heard a loud shout come from behind me.

“Get your hands off my wife!” Edward exclaimed.

Bella let go and went over to him. “What’s wrong?” she asked him.

“You are very lucky that you can’t read his mind,” he responded.

But, I couldn’t concentrate. I was still focused on just the one word he had said. Wife. Ha, very funny. He’s just dreaming.

“Wife?” I said disbelievingly. “In your dreams. I know Bella; she wouldn’t get married right out of high school! She would-

Before I could finish I saw what Bella was doing. She was holding up her left hand to me. On it was a gold wedding band.

“What?” I asked. This couldn’t be possible. I know Bella; there is no way she would get married right out of high school. Not after what happened with her parents’ marriage. Did this really mean I had no chance?

“Jake, wait! I can explain-“Bella said, but I had all ready bolted out of the door. I couldn’t take it. She had married the bloodsucking leech. No, I would not let that get to me. I could still have a chance. Marriage was just a contract after all. I could break that. I had to try!

Bella’s POV

“Edward, won’t she need to go to school? How long will it be until she’ll stop growing enough for her to go to school? I don’t want my daughter to be cooped up in the house for years. She should be able to go out in public,” I remarked.

“I know, love, but we will have to keep her here for a while, until we go to New Hampshire next month. Then, once she’s fully grown, she’ll be able to go to high school and college. Other than that, we will have to home school her,” He replied trying to reassure me that our daughter would eventually go to school.

We were on one of the white couches in the living room of the big white house. Rosalie and Alice were out shopping with Renesmee in Seattle. They had had to keep going to different malls so that nobody would recognize Renesmee, and how much she grew from day to day. Emmett and Jasper were out hunting, and Carlisle and Esme were in his office upstairs, as Carlisle tried to study Renesmee’s growth patterns, and Esme worked on a new design.

“Do you think I’ll be able to handle being around all the humans?” I asked.

“You’ll be fine. You’ve all ready done so well with Charlie.”

Before I could argue that it was still hard for me with Charlie nearby, I heard a knock at the door. Carlisle was down the stairs to answer it before I could even get up.

“Hello Jacob. What brings you here today?” he asked, shocked.

“I came to see Bella,” Jake responded.

“Jake?” I said. What was he doing here? He had taken off a year ago.

“What do you want, dog?” Edward must have been reading Jacob’s thoughts. I wonder why he had come back. Nobody even knew why he had left.

I stood up, Edward’s arm slipping off me. He came over to hug me. If he had hugged me this tight while I was human, I wouldn’t be able to breathe. Now it was just annoying.

Ugh. Now I understood why Edward had always said that they stank. Jacob reeked.

I waited for him to let me go; I didn’t want to use my vampire strength to shrug him off- because that would hurt his feelings- even though I was still mad at him for kissing me. No, that wasn’t the right word. Assault would fit what he did better. If he loved me-like he said he did- then shouldn’t I get a say on whether I want to kiss him or not. I love Edward, not Jacob. Apparently Jacob just couldn’t get that through his thick skull. Yet, I had missed him. He was still my best friend, and he had just run off with no explanation. But, before I could ask him why he left, Edward spoke.

“Get your hands off my wife!” Edward yelled.

I shrugged out of Jacob’s hug and went over to Edward, who now stood behind Jacob. He put his arms around me as I came to stand by him.

“What’s wrong?” I asked him. He hadn’t gone back to his prejudices; had he? Jacob hadn’t been doing anything wrong.

“You are very lucky you can’t read his mind,” Edward said through clenched teeth.

“Wife?” Jake asked. “In your dreams, I know Bella. She wouldn’t get married right out of high school! She would-“

I rose up my left hand to show him my wedding ring. He stopped his rant and stared back in shock.

“What?” he said, his spirit broken.

Before I could explain to him how I had gotten married last summer; he ran out the door.

“Why did he leave?” I asked Edward. He just growled.

“That dog is still in love with you. He thinks he can break us up, even though we are married. Apparently he didn’t notice that you’ve changed," Edward said through clenched teeth.
