Her dimples,

so visible.

Her small blush,

and her soft skin,

something

that came from me.

I dwell on her memories,

seeing what happened,

before I came.

Her bouncing curls,

and her small body,

she's so perfect!

She gives me a smile,

and I realize

the pain endured

was worth it all.

How could such

a little being

hold

so much love?

I smile back,

for once,

at ease.

And for the first time,

she speaks:

Momma, I love you.

And I'm sure,

If I could,

tears

would've

filled

my eyes.
