1. Attack of the Killer Cat

Rating 5/5   Word Count 608   Review this Chapter

I know this sounds weird but I can’t wait to go back to school. You see my parents decided to have a family summer vacation. This year of all years when I finally have friends. So for the past three months I haven’t seen my friends at all.

Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind spending time with my family. They’re the best always there for me when I need them, all of that. But you can only stand so much of the couple mania. You see all my siblings and I our adopted, and the rest of my siblings paired up. So to speak. But my siblings are all very different from me, we don’t’ have the same views. That’s why I need my friends.

I miss them a lot. Cat with her freaky, hyper, obnoxious, behavior. That can make anyone laugh within seconds after starting speaking with them. Shane who can charm basically any adult into getting out of anything. And Bella, quite, beautiful…and I’m going to stop that sentence before I embarrass myself.

We pulled up to the high school in Emmett’s new Jeep. I looked towards the bike racks hoping to see my friends’ bikes but there was no light blue old time bike, or black mountain bike covered in stickers. I was looking around the campus for them when someone jumped on my shoulders from behind.

"Edward!" Cat yelled in my ear. I wouldn’t be surprised if she was purposely trying to blow out my ear drums.

I heard laughing across the parking lot, I turned to see Shane and Bella by a bright yellow bug convertible and since Shane was the oldest of us all, I‘m thinking its his. I walked with Cat still trying to strangle me over to them.

"Why does she want to kill me?" I asked Shane in a choked voice. She refused to let go, and if she didn’t soon I was going to pass out.

"She does that a lot," he said smirking.

"You should of seen when Shane left school for a week ’cause he was sick," Bella said smiling, "she wouldn’t let go of him for the whole day."

"You aren’t going to do that to me are you?" I asked Cat trying to look over my shoulder to see her.

"I might if you don’t stop complaining," she said but getting down anyways.

I took a look at my friends. All of them had gotten taller, like I had but Cat’s hair was longer, Bella’s shorter, and all three of them looked older.

Bella and Cat started walking towards the school, and Shane and I followed after them. "A yellow bug?" I asked him in a low voice so Cat and Bella couldn’t hear.

"Cat came with me to pick it out. She liked it," he said in an even lower voice. It took all that I had to not start laughing my ass off right then and there. Shane was in love with Cat. But the coward didn’t want to tell her cause he was afraid that she didn’t like him the same way. I knew differently, she was always throwing the same look at him that he was throwing at her.

Unfortunately for me if I even mention this then he brings up the fact that I really like Bella. And if you haven’t noticed I don’t like bringing that up.

It was about then when Cat turned around and shouted, "Hey I just realized something!"

"What?" We all asked.

"We’re sophomores!" She said with surprise in her voice. Laughing we all trudged to our first classes.
