Eternity

Edward`s POV

Perfect.

That was the only word that could describe the little, sleeping bundle in my arms. My daughter. My baby.

She was three days old, wrapped in a pink blanket and on her head was a little, pink cap that Alice had put on her. She looked adorable. I still couldn`t believe I was a father.

"Edward?" I heard a soft voice say.

"Bella?" I said and turned around. I gasped. She looked stunning. But that wasn`t the wierdest part. Her eyes weren`t red, they were just dark. Like mine when I was hungry.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Nothing...It`s just your eyes, they`re not red like all newborns eyes are, they`re just dark." I replied.

She smiled a little and turned her attention to our daughter.

"If the smell is too much for you, I could take her out of the room," I told her.

She looked down and bit her lip. "Maybe I should hunt first?" she asked.

"I think so too," I said.

I told Esme to watch the baby, while Bella and I hunted.

We ran out of the house and into the woods. Far away from where humans used to be. Bella seemed a bit unsure at first, but when she caught the scent of an elk, it just came naturally to her. She ran away from me with a small giggle. I heard the sounds of the elk fighting aganinst Bella and then it went silent.

Bella came towards me. Her eyes were golden. In the corners of her mouth there was a little blood. I wiped it away with a tissue that I had brought. I threw the tissue away and gave her a passionate kiss.

"Now, I want to see my babygirl," she told me.

"Your wish is my command," I grinned at her and took her hand.

We ran to our house. I opened and the front door and together we walked in to the living room where the rest of my family was. I heard a silent beat of a heart in the crib we had in the living room. Esme had probably put her there.

Bella`s POV

I walked over to the pink crib where my baby was. I bent over and her eyes opened. They were chocolate brown with a hint of green in them. She was so tiny and cute. I didn`t feel any... thirst for her. I picked her up and held her close.

"Hey, sweetgirl," I said.

In the background I could hear the males discussing my "not-normal-for-newborns-thirst". I slowly walked over to the couch and sat down. Esme, Alice and Rosalie smiled to me.

"What do yo want to name her?" Rosalie asked.

"Lillian Charlotte," I said. The name just came to me. "Edward?" I looked at him.

"I think that is a beautiful name," he said as he sat down beside me.

"Lillian Charlotte it is, then," I said.

"Bella, you look so hot," Alice told me. If I could blush, I would have.

"Thanks, Alice," I mumbled. "Hey, Jasper? Could you throw me the bottle there?"

"Sure," Jasper answered and threw the bottle with milk to me.

I fed Lillian with it. She drank quietly while everybody watched her. When she was finished I laid her over my shoulder and patted her back carefully. She burped quietly and then yawned.

I laid her back in the crib and watched her fall asleep.
