A New Start

When Alice returns to Forks in New Moon she tells Charlie that he should send Bella to a boarding school in England (because Bella failed 12th grade). Bella starts a whole new life in England including a new wardrobe that is to Alice's liking. What if a certain vampire shows up in England? What if What Hurts the Most caused a worldwide sensation? What does a bunny have to do with all of this? "I had been hurt over and over by him. I had accepted countless apologies but this was too much." Chapter 12

“I gave in because…well I knew that this would make you happy and it would make me happy as well. Also, I know that you will remember your promise.”

“I will.”

“Well you might as well enjoy your last night of sleep,” he said teasingly and for the first time all week I slept soundly as he hummed my lullaby to me. The next morning greeted me with bright sunlight, 5 sets of sparkly skin, soon to be 6, and a silent but delicious last breakfast, of eggs, bacon and orange juice, for me.

“We are going to do this in you bedroom,” Carlisle said when I was through eating, “You might want to put something loose and comfortable on.

“I changed into a pair of comfy sweats and a t-shirt and lay on the bed as Edward and Carlisle entered. Carlisle was only there in case something went wrong.

I lay on the bed and said “I love you” to Edward as he plunged a syringe of his venom as close to my heart as possible. He repeated the words and started to bite me. On my neck, inside my elbows, on my wrists, in side my knees, on my ankles as many places as he could to make the transformation last as little time as possible.

All of a sudden I was burning. I screamed. It had to stop. I wanted it to stop. Why did I want this so bad? It felt worse then how the Cullens had described it. It felt like the worse case of claustrophobia, being run over by a hundred ton truck, being dipped in acid, being burned alive, and when Edward left me put together.

The pain went on for what seemed like forever. The burning never stopped. I couldn’t think of anything except for the immense pain in my body. I couldn’t take it. Finally the heat started to cool down.

Then I woke up. I was relieved because the pain was gone. I could hear everything from Edward taking his unneeded breaths to Alice’s new bunny in the meadow. I heard Edward call the others saying that I was awake as I watched the dust motes floating in a shaft of light. I didn’t feel the air that had sustained me as a human. I could feel a warm hand in mine. It was Edward. Now that I was human his skin felt normal and not freezing cold. I could smell Edward’s unique scent drift up to my nose.

I stood up, looked around the room and almost had a “heart attack” when Alice ran towards me and gave me a mirror to see myself in. When she ran I didn’t see it in slow motion, rather I saw it in perfect detail.

I looked into the mirror as Edward wrapped his strong arms around my waist. I saw a beautiful young woman with curves in all the right places, voluminous dark brown hair, and chocolate brown eyes. Wait!
