"Jasper, who is this girl?" asked another blonde male.

"I'll tell you later. It's important that she sees her"

"Did I here my name being thought?" asked a voice. I jumped. I turned to see the boy from the pictures.

"Edward! Wait for me!" Bella burst into the clearing, laughing. She saw me and froze.

"Hey Bella" I said.

"Kyna" she said, breathlessly. Then she rushed over and hugged me.

"What happened to you?" she asked, releasing me.

"The Volturi gave me away," I said.

"To who?" her boyfriend asked. I changed the subject. I didn't want to think about that.

"Where's Jason?" I asked.

"We parted company shortly after you were taken away from us. This is Edward, my old mate. I realized that I still loved him and Jason departed"

"Right. Do you know where he is?"

"No. we haven't spoken in a while. How did you find us?"

"I have a friend who knew a friend of yours"

"A friend of mine?"

"Jacob Black"

"Bella, I thought you hadn't seen Jacob?"

"I haven't seen him since that time three years ago"

"Yes, my friend told me about that. He told me that you'd said you were going to a private island in the Med. So I did some research to find out about people who bought islands. Then I found a photo site"

"Ah. And we were on it?" said one of the women.

"Yes. I needed to find her," I said.

"Oh Kyna, I missed you so much"

"But you never came to find me. You just accepted it," I said. All these years I'd been pining for a parent who I'd hoped would welcome me home with open arms but how could that dream come true when she hadn't even looked for me?

"Jacob Black never stopped loving you, you know. I don't think Jason will have either," I said. Bella looked away from me. I was hurting her.

"I never did," I whispered.

"How did you find us Kyna? Where have you been held?" asked the blonde female briskly. She placed a hand on Bella's shoulder, comfortingly and glared at me. I shrugged.

"Here and there" I said.

"Tell us," said Jasper, sharply.

"Make me. I don't want to talk about it," I said, turning away from it. The blonde girl snarled. I rolled my eyes.

"That snarling is stupid. It's a ridiculous vampire cliché. No wonder we have a bad reputation!" I growled. I sighed and turned.

"I think I've outstayed whatever nonexistent welcome I may have had. I think I might return to the evil guy who's kept me prisoner for the past nine years" I marched down the forest path. No one stopped me or even called after me. It was like I had never even appeared. I could just walk out and they'd pretend nothing had even happened. Bella...she didn't need me. Any hopes of a happy family had disappeared. I'd better get back to Jack. He'd be mad but he'd be glad all my hopes had extinguished. I had nowhere to go. I was immortal and totally alone. Forever?
