The rest of the Cullens.

I had been so focusing on the whole thing with Edward, I'd completely forgotten about them.

That was not going to be pleasant.

Rosalie was probably the one who's reaction I feared the most. Mainly because Rosalie scared me to death sometimes.

Even though she had been really sorry for almost getting Edward, Alice and me killed, and even though she had been just the slightest nicer to me the days after we got home, this was going to send me back to the same page we were on when Edward brought me into the family, maybe even further back.

I had no idea what to expect from the rest of them. How would they handle this?

I wondered if Alice told them, or Edward, unless he went straight to Alaska, or wherever he is going, after our little "talk".

"What are you thinking about?" Jaspers voice suddenly broke through my rambling thoughts.

"What, what do you mean?" I was pretty confused about his question. Edward used to ask me that all the time, but only because he couldn't hear me. Jasper had never asked me that. He always wanted to know why I was feeling guilty, angry, stuff like that.

"Why are you asking what I'm thinking?" I gave up. I couldn't guess his motivations myself.

He smiled.

"I've noticed that, whenever you're thinking about something really important, you get this look on your face. Your lips are set a certain way, the same with your eyebrows. It's actually really adorable." He finished, and, of course, I blushed at the last part.

"You've been watching me." I said, punching him lightly on the shoulder.

He laughed.

"I'm always watching you. You're the most beautiful person I know. It would be a shame to be in the same room with you, and not look at you." While he was talking, he put a loose strand of my hair behind my ear. Not only did his cold hand give me chills, the move also made me blush even more.

Jasper touched my cheek.

"You're really cute when you blush, you know that?" he said, smiling slightly.

"It doesn't bother you, does it?" After what Edward said last night, I had to ask.

"No, not as much as I think it bothered Edward, but its always hard for us to be so close to a human, but I'd rather be in pain from the smell of your blood and be next to you, than to be free from the smell but at the same time have you miles away from me."

"But I don't want you to be hurting." I said, brushing his cheek, lips. He kissed my fingers.

"It's nothing more than what I feel at school, with the proximity of all the humans."

I suspected he was downplaying it. After all, Edward had told me that my blood didn't smell as tempting to other vampires as it did to him, but I did smell better to them than other humans.

But if he wasn't going to bring it up, neither would I.

"So, what was it you were thinking so hard about?"

"The Cullens." I said, not sure if he would understand.

"You mean the rest of them. Carlisle, Esme, Emmett and Rosalie, right?"

"Yes. They still don't know about us. How are we going to tell them?" now that I had said it, I could see how big a problem it was going to be.

"To be honest, I think they already know." He said quietly.

"What? How? When? Who?" I jumped up. I couldn't believe it. How could he be so calm about it? They knew. The knew we had made Alice and Edward miserable. They knew that what we had done would probably tear two of their family from them, one of them probably forever. They knew everything.

Jasper grabbed my wrist and pulled me back into his lap. A feeling of calm suddenly overwhelmed me.

"Bella, relax. I think Alice told them."

I was about to say something, but he put his finger on my lips, silencing me.

"I think Alice told them, and I also think it was the best way. Think about it. Would you be the one to tell them that you left Edward, to be with me? I think, that they feel, Carlisle and Esme at least, that as long as Alice and Edward are accepting it, so will they."

"But Edward isn't accepting it. He ran of, remember?"

"Just because he doesn't like the path this has taken, doesn't mean he isn't accepting it. I think he just wants you to be happy, he's just always had a tendency to react dramatically."

"What about Alice?" I said, not really liking to have to talk about Edward, it made me feel so bad.

I was sure Jasper felt my discomfort, but he didn't mention it, he just answered my question, and put his arms around me.

"As you already know, Alice doesn't really live in the same world as the rest of us. She just needs time to think things over with, but I'm sure she has accepted it. Who knows, maybe she saw this happen a long time ago. But don't worry Bella, everything's going to work out.

"If you say so." I said reluctantly. I crossed my arms.

Jasper just laughed.

"I do say so, and I'm sure this will work out."

I wasn't convinced. Maybe Esme and Carlisle would accept, maybe even Emmett would too, but Rosalie was sure to give me a hard time about it.

Jasper, sensing my disbelief, gave me a light kiss on my forehead.

"Don't worry." He repeated, and I felt a wave of serenity wash over me.

"It's kind of hard to worry with you here." I smiled at him.

He smiled back.

We sat there, just looking into each others eyes, and I felt completely assured that everything was going to work out.

"So..." Jasper said, pulling me into his arms as he stood up.

He put me on the ground.

"Should we go talk to them now?"

I stared wide-eyed at him. Was he serious?

He took my head in his hands

"Bella, you know we can't put this of for too long. We have to talk to them."

I nodded weakly. He sighed.

"Would this help your courage?" he asked.

I was about to ask him what he meant, but his lips were on mine before I got to it.

When our kiss ended, all to soon, I was breathless. I looked at Jasper. He smiled at me.

"Okay." I said. "That did help a little bit." He laughed.

"We can go when I'm decent. I just need to change." I said, realizing I was still in my pajamas.

"Okay. I'll wait downstairs." He said, and just like that, he was out the room at vampire speed. I rolled my eyes.

"Show off." I muttered, knowing he probably heard me.

I went to my closet. I settled for a plain t-shirt with long sleeves and a pair of jeans, and then I went to the bathroom.

I quickly brushed my hair, so that it was somewhat decent, and I washed my face, to calm myself down. I know Jasper could do that just as easily, but I liked the cold water against my skin.

When I came downstairs, Jasper stood at the door, hand on the doorknob. I walked over to him and smiled.

"Ready to go?" he asked.

"Yes, I'm ready to go." Making sure he knew there was something I wasn't ready for. He rolled his eyes at me, but opened the door.

"Okay." He said. "Climb up." He motioned towards his back. I giggled. It seemed so odd for Jasper to suggest a piggyback ride.

He took me by the arm, and flung me over his back. I put my arms around his neck in a chokehold, and my legs around his hips.

"Let's go." I said, my voice barely escaped shaking, not because I was afraid of the run, but because I was afraid for what was going to happen at the end of that run.

It was strange to run with Jasper. Even though he was impossibly fast, I could feel he wasn't as fast as Edward, not that I objected. It gave me a couple more seconds to be alone with him, and it gave me a little more time to think in. this seemed impossible. How could this end well? I couldn't see it, but, thanks heavens, Jasper could.

I leaned my head against his shoulder, closing my eyes. Not thinking, just enjoying the moment.

I didn't even realize we had stopped, until Jasper lifted me from his back and put me on the ground.

He took my hand.

We walked like that to the front door of the Cullens amazing house. Jasper let go of my hand to open the door. At first I was confused. But when I saw who was standing in the door way when it opened I understood.

"Bella." I could hear the acid in her voice

"Rosalie." I answered.
