Bella's P.O.V.

<3~<3~The Same Day~<3~<3

We went to Edward's house that evening to see everyone. Rosalie and Emmett were coming home for a few days to check on Edward and make sure he was doing okay.

Edward and I walked in the door together. We were immediately intercepted by Alice, she was waiting for us. She squealed and hugged me to that point that I couldn't breathe, not that I needed to anyway. I squeezed her back, Alice, my best friend in the world. "Oh Alice, I missed you so much."

She pulled away and looked me up and down. "SWEAT PANTS AND A TEE SHIRT?!?!?!?!?" She basically screamed in my ear, "I thought I taught you better than this. This won't do, this simply won't do!"

"Same old Alice." I said to Edward. Alice stuck her tongue out at me.

"I didn't tell anyone you were coming tonight." She said quieter. "They are all out hunting right now and aren't expecting anything."

I realized something; Alice's eyes were jet black. "Alice," I asked "Why didn't you go hunting with the others, you look really hungry?"

"I had to be here to see you!" she exclaimed in a tone as if she was explaining to an adult that 2=2 really does equal 4. "I have to go now but I will come back with all the others."She gave me one last hug and then ran out the front door.

"You bought the same house again?" I asked, remembering this is where they had lived 50 years ago.

"Yes, it was most convenient to come here because it's a long way from town and there are lots of groups of deer and elk passing by behind the house in the woods." He replied leading me through the house. I knew where we were going. It was a room I knew well.

He sat down at the piano and began to play. It was a song I remembered barely, as if it was some long forgotten memory. Then, I remembered, it was my lullaby. The music was so sweet I could almost taste it.

We must have been there for an hour, maybe more. I heard Carlisle's voice from outside. "I haven't heard him play or even go near a piano since... since..." He broke off. Edward stopped playing as the back door opened.

He grabbed my hand and pulled me up off the bench. He walked me to the kitchen with his arm around my waist. "Are you ready?" He breathed so I could barely even hear.

"Why wouldn't I be?" I whispered back.

We walked into the kitchen, his arm around my waist, and my head on his shoulder. They were all there. Alice, Jasper, Emmett, Rosalie, Carlisle and Esme, my family, well, they were supposed to be my family. They were all there, just exactly like I remembered them to be. Edward cleared his throat, they all turned.

"Bella?" Everyone seemed to say. Esme was first to embrace me. She was without words. She put her hands on my face. She just stared into my eyes. She looked so happy. I was surprised to see that Rosalie was right behind Esme. She hugged me tight. "Don't ever leave us again!" She exclaimed. Then quieter she said, "I know we've had our differences but if you just want to look past it, that's fine with me." I smiled at her and nodded, her eyes lit up. As she walked away I was jubilant. Rosalie was finally warming up to me!

Emmett and Jasper were next. They both gave me big bear hugs. Emmett lifted me off the ground, so I laughed a lifted him back. He laughed in turn and seemed very happy that I was here. "You know Edward didn't leave his room for like 48 years after the wedding." He said and Edward glared at him, snarling. "Hey man you know it's true!" Emmett said as Edward jumped at him. They started beating on each other, just playfully, like little baby tigers.

"Boys, don't break anything else please!" Esme yelled as they rolled out of the kitchen.

"So," Jasper said, bringing back my attention. "You're one of us now." His voice was no longer strained, now that I wasn't human anymore. I smiled and hugged him again.

Carlisle was behind Jasper. He embraced me just as the others had. "Welcome back Bella." He whispered into my ear as Alice dragged Edward and Emmett back into the room.

"Alice," Esme said sternly but at the same time very puzzled. "Aren't you going to say hello to Bella?"

"I saw her earlier, while you were all out hunting." Alice laughed as all the others glared at her.

"Why didn't you tell us she was coming?" Carlisle asked her coldly.

"I wanted it to be a surprise!" Alice replied, and then looked at me.

"SURPRISE!" We shouted together.

And boy, were we in for a big one.
