Her New Life

Christine moves to Forks after 1 1/2 years of pain after her best friend died. What she finds in Forks will change her life forever. I PUT CHAPTER 11 AT THE END OF CHAPTER 10.

This is my first story so hopefully you like it. It doesn't have any Twilight characters, just vampires and it references Twilight.

2. Chapter 2

When I opened my eyes I immediately realized that I wasn’t in the choir room anymore. By the looks of it, I was in a practice room. As I tried to sit up, a hand reached out to push me back down.

“Wait a minute, you’re not going anywhere. You just fainted and you need to rest,” as I looked over I realized that it was Christopher.

“Oh my gosh,” I mumbled under my breath, I remembered why I fainted. He looks like Chris, which is impossible.

“What’s wrong? You look like you have seen a ghost,” when he said that I accidentally let out a strangled sob.

“Oh, umm, you just look a lot like someone I used to know,” I looked away as I said this; I couldn’t believe I was bringing this up with a stranger.

“What’s his name?” He actually sounded interested. When I looked over at him, he had a strange expression. It was something like pain and worry, but when he realized I was looking at him it went way.

“It doesn’t matter, he-he’s dead. He has been dead for a year and a half,” I could feel the tears starting to well up again. I stood up quickly and he didn’t try to stop me this time, he only steadied me when I started to sway. “Thanks,” I mumbled, “So are you going to get me the music? Or are we just going to stay here talking about stuff I’d rather not talk about?” After I calmed down I added, “I’m sorry, it’s just that he was my best friend and I still haven’t gotten over it.”

“Right, I’m sorry, so here are the three songs we’re singing,” his voice became all business as he said this and his face looked strangely blank and detached.

“Wow,” I whispered as I looked through the music.

“Oh, the music is just so easy.”

“Yeah, well this school isn’t known for its great musicians,” he replied bitterly.

“Great, the one thing I was actually looking forward to today and it sucks,” right after I said this the bell rang.

“Well I’ll see you tomorrow,” Christopher said and hurried out of the room.

“Yeah, see you tomorrow,” I replied to his back. As I walked to my car I kept thinking about choir. How could I tell that guy about Chris? I don’t even know anything about him. There was just something about him.

I was able to get to my car and on the road before I broke down sobbing. This day had been longer than I thought possible. I missed my friends way more than I thought I would. Not only that, but Christopher looks so much like Chris (and he has the same name.) I know vampires can’t exist I just wish they did because then there is a chance Chris is still alive. But it’s crazy and I know it. I’ll just continue talking to Christopher and see if he reminds me of Chris more. If he does and there are other things that show he’s a vampire then I’ll confront him. I’m most likely just crazier than I thought I was and I’ll have to just ignore it all.
