In the deepest depths of my dreams,

It's not as dark as it seems.

I hang on for the weight to crush me,

But your face halts the building screams.

You take my heart and stunt my breath,

Addictive just like crystal meth.

You silently wait for my death,

So untrusting of yourself, yourself.

I see the dawn that's breaking through,

I know the pain that's breaking you.

We were forced into an ugly lie.

You know my love was never changed,

But tell me now, what have you gained,

By leaving me all alone to die?

It shattered me and all my bones,

Night whispers and hushed tones,

Imagining you by my side.

Why did you have to go and hide?

I see the dawn that's breaking through,

I know the pain that's breaking you.

We were forced into an ugly lie.

You know my love was never changed,

But tell me now, what have you gained,

By leaving me all alone to die?

You disappeared,

Then reappeared,

Not hard to find (in my mind).

Did your forget,

To clean the mess,

You left behind?

But I still tried, I tried,

And I saved you.

I saved you.

Like you saved me,

So many times.

So many times.

So so so many times.

I see the dawn that's breaking through,

I know the pain that's breaking you.

We were forced into an ugly lie.

You know my love was never changed,

But tell me now, what have you gained,

By leaving me all alone to die?

What have you gained,

When I lost everything, everything, everything?
