"Jasper? What is it? Is Bella alright?"

"No! Edward, you guys need to get back! Bella went upstairs to go to the toilet and she didn't come down! When I went upstairs, she was gone! Victoria's scent is everywhere! She took her!"

"I'm on my way!" he said before he hung up. They weren't nearby. I needed to hide Bella. Make sure they didn't find her. I ran to where I'd left her. She was quieter now but still thrashing. I scooped her up and ran. I was nearly at Canada by the time I found a spot to hide her.

"It'll be okay Bella. I'll be back" I returned to the house and paced, anxiously waiting for Edward and the others. Would he read my mind and see I was lying? He arrived.

"Jasper!" he said.

"Edward, she went upstairs for two minutes to go to the toilet. I don't think she even made it that far. Her room's got Victoria's scent in it. I think she took her but there's no blood or any signs of Victoria hurting her"

"Why didn't you follow her?!" snapped Edward.

"Edward, calm down" said Carlisle.

"I thought about following her. But I figured it was better to attack her in a team and also because if I went after her she might just kill Bella quickly"

"That makes sense Edward. Come on. If we're quick we might be able to catch up with her" they both left. I sighed with relief before following them.

Three long hours later and there were no signs of Victoria. Luckily. If they found her and questioned her, she'd tell them that she hadn't seen Bella and my lies would come unstuck. We returned home where Alice and Esme were pacing with concern. I considered briefly, what I was putting them through but I pushed that thought away.

"Edward. Honey, I know it won't be easy but maybe you should consider the possibility that we won't find her," said Esme.

"We'll find her!" snapped Edward "I won't lose her again Esme. I will get Bella back!" he turned to face the entire family, rage crossed all his features.

"And I swear, if any of you try to stop me, I will make you live to regret it" he growled his words before storming out. I knew it wasn't safe to leave Bella where she was.

"I'm going for a drive," I said. Alice nodded, barely hearing me. She looked numb. I got into my car and sped off. I drove back to my hiding place, or nearby (there were no roads in that spot). I picked up Bella and carried her to my car. I drove. I drove very far and very fast. I stopped in an incredibly secluded spot and sniffed the air. No scent of vampire, or human. Just some animals and they were about a day old. I knew I needed to be here when Bella woke up. I would go hunting for two days and wait for Bella to wake. I texted Alice.

Gone hunting. Be back in three days time.

Why so long? She replied.

I don't want to be near Edward. His rage is...

Ah. I get it. See you soon.
