The same school building approached as Edward rounded the corner. Their faded red bricks and rusted green entrance doors, took me back to the time where I met my husband.

Edward parked the Volvo and I noticed Jacob’s Audi at the back of the parking lot. Him and Nessie must have gone into class early.

The rest of the family pulled up beside Edward, keeping an eye on our lack of touching. I rolled my eyes and swiftly made my way out of the vehicle.

As I approached the school entrance I heard Emmett mutter “$5000 dollars.” I slightly turned towards him, growled, and stomped off in the direction of my English literature lesson.

Seen as though I had covered this lesson on Charles Dickens, I decided to rethink Alice’s decision on Edward’s birthday party. With just over three days to perfect Edwards celebration, I had to put all trust into Alice’s skills. Alice and I made a deal, which was that Edward and I got to spent the night together alone. She will be taking the family up north to hunt, and will be back at about 10am to set up for Edwards party. Nessie and Jake should arrive about an hour later and everything should be great. That is if Alice can keep her mind in check around Edward.

As the teacher droned on, my yearning for Edward continued. How could Emmett be such a cruel brother? I was so tempted to let down my shield and communicate my affections to Edward, but we made a deal, and getting one over Emmett was totally worth it.

The bell distracted me away from Edward for a few seconds, until I realized we both had Spanish together. This was going to be a tough day.

I approached the door and saw my angel sitting at the back of the room. I decided to sit next to him, even against my better judgement. He smirked and moved his chair closer to the end of the table. That was probably best for the both of us. I just smirked and listened to the teacher perform the lecture, while day-dreaming about Edward.

I kept hearing a slight hum in the corner of my mind, as if someone was calling me. Re-focusing on what was in front of me, I noticed the teacher staring directly at me, waiting for an answer.

“Miss Black..?” He noticed I was back to reality and repeated the question. “Qué deporte le hacen juega?” Edward taught me a few languages, but Spanish never stuck with me. I fumbled my brain for an answer.

“Umm…” Suddenly Edward passed me small note.

Say ‘yo no juego muchos deporte’.

I did as the note said. The teacher bobbed his head and moved on to another student. I turned to Edward, who was smiling brightly.

“Thanks.” I winked at him.

“You’re very welcome, Love.” We both suddenly looked at each other, realizing Edward’s mistake. We both giggled.

“Let’s hope they don’t find out about it.” He snickered. To prevent any more mistakes, we concentrated on not thinking about each other. No matter how hard I tried, there was that spark between me and Edward, that just would not escape.

That spark made me want Edward this very second. I literally sat on my hands and prayed for the lesson to speed up. Finally the bell went and I dashed off to third period.

All throughout the day my thoughts were split into three parts. The first being Renesmee’s pregnancy worries, the second, Edward’s birthday plans, and third wanting to be completely surrounded by Edward. These crazy thoughts managed to envelope me all the way up to lunch break.

Grabbing a few things for my lunch charade, I made my way over to our family table. Jacob and Nessie sat on another table together, looking perfectly content. I smiled at them and continued my way over to the table.

Before I even got the chance to sit down next to Edward, Emmett cleared his throat and patted the seat next to him. I rolled my eyes and complied with his wishes, noticing the glare Edward gave Emmett as I sat down.

I just chuckled and started tearing my bread apart, waiting for the family to start questioning mine and Edward’s progress.

“So,” Alice began. “Any contact yet?” maybe Alice was actually sticking to her own rules for once. I smiled and Edward answered.

“Alice, you know perfectly well how it’s going.” He raised an eyebrow at her, and she ducked her head slightly ashamed. Oh! So Alice did cheat then. Emmett and Rosalie gave her an irritated look. Jasper pulled her head to his chest.

“Okay, okay. Yes I did cheat, and by the vision I saw,” She turned her head towards me. “So did you.” I giggled and nodded at her.

“It was only a minor slip, and it was Edwards fault.” Edward chuckled.

“I’m afraid to say the fault was mine. So we both cheated, who wins the bet?” Edward’s question was a good one. “Make it fair Emmett.” He warned reading the way his thoughts were turning.

“Okay, seen as though this will never get solved, lets call the bet off.” Emmett sounded so disappointed when he said this. “But there will be a bigger bet next time.” Rosalie chuckled at him and regained his attention.

I looked at Edward and lowered my shield. Does this mean I can kiss you now? I desperately asked. He laughed a pearl of bells and nodded.

I dashed over to his lap and kissed him as hard as I could, remembering the staring humans.

“Not here guys please, the emotions from you two are becoming too much for me.” Poor Jasper, I felt sorry for him and broke away from Edward. I sat down next to his side grasping onto his hand like a lifeline, I didn’t let go until the bell rang signalling last period.

We scrambled to our lessons, mine being gym and Edward’s being trig. I kissed him on the cheek, promising to wait for him at the Volvo, for a proper reunion.

Gym thankfully flew by, and I dressed in a rush, in order to see my beautifully charming husband. There he was, as promised, waiting at the passenger side of the car. His smile was dazzling when he caught my stare.

Before I approached the car, I went over to Nessie and bid her farewell, making a note to see her tomorrow.

“Bye Mom.” She whispered and got into the car. Jake smiled at me and pulled out of the car park.

I paced back towards Edward.

“Well I think we did____.” I didn’t get the chance to finish as Edward’s lips claimed mine in a desperate way. I pulled back and told him five more minutes then we were at the house.

We got in that car and pulled up at the house in no time. Edward held his arms open for me to jump into, and I did. We passionately kissed, not letting anything interrupt us this time.

“Don’t ever agree to that bet again Mrs Cullen. Do you hear me?” I nodded and kissed him again, creating that special spark.

We crept into the house and up into the bedroom, for a proper celebration.

The bet did prove something to me though, and that was, even when I could see my angel, it still wasn’t enough to describe our desperate need for each other. That point made me chuckle.
