There was my beautiful Edward, leaning against the counter top, awaiting my presence. His eyes met mine and a spectacular smile lit up his face. I parked the car in the garage and ran over to Edward's side. Suddenly his arms were fixed round my waist and my mouth was locked on his. I pulled away with a chuckle.

"My my, I should go out more often." I teased. Edward just produced my lovely crooked smile.

"I hate it when we're apart Love, just give me or Alice a signal or something, I was really worried." Edward was such a worrier, looking back on the situation now, it reminds me of Renesmee and I on the phone. Speaking of our lovely child...

"That's fine Edward, I will remember that next time. Right now we have other worries." He tensed up immediately, and I reached out to soothe him, he released his stiff posture and gave a sigh.

"What is that, Love?"

"Okay, but first promise me you won't get too worked up," He gave a stiff nod.

"Well I phoned Nessie earlier and she said she had some news to tell us, she said it may come as a bit of a shock to us."

"Is that all she mentioned?" I softly nodded and searched his eyes for any anger; there was thankfully nothing but curiosity and worry filling his features.

"She will be here in about two hours. Nessie said her and Jacob would come to the house at seven." He nodded and pulled me into a tight embrace. I giggled and asked him how his hunting trip went.

"Well I bagged a few lions, but apart from that, not really worth the trip."

"Why not? Did you not have fun with your brothers?" He pulled a face that I knew well, one of irritation. I chuckled. "I'll take that as a 'no' then." He just smiled.

"How about your free days? How did they go?" I knew what he was getting at, Alice must have been blocking her thoughts. I evilly grinned at him, I knew his game.

"Not a chance, Mr Cullen. It's a surprise." He pursed his lips, considering something. Without warning he lowered himself onto me and pushed me against the wall, carrying a smug smile. Oh so this is his game I thought.

I promised myself not to reveal anything, so before my thoughts vanished completely, I closed my eyes and stood still as anything. Eventually he gave up and pulled away in surprise.

"I'm sorry my Love, but no word of my surprise is going to escape my lips, no matter what the plan." He chuckled and whispered really low in my ear.

"I love you."

"I love you too." I instantly responded.

With that I reached for his lips and he agreed to my request without hesitation. The kiss was beautiful and sensual. Without interruption I pulled away, reminding him again of Renesmee's arrival soon. He nodded then put his hand in mine, leading the way into the house.

We joined Esme and Alice in the living room. They were watching a cheesy film. Edward and I sat on the opposite loveseat and began trying to calm the nerves. Neither of us were watching the TV, we were just awaiting Nessie's news. Edward looked down at me and gave a forced smile.

"I'm sure she'll be fine, Love."

"I hope so."

That's where we waited for Renesmee.
