I never realized time could be so frustrating to an immortal, but that clock seemed to grow bigger and bigger with passing seconds. Edward was tense beside me; we were both calming each other as best we could.

We heard Tyres slowing down the road, just off the freeway. That must have been Renesmee and Jacob. Jake aquired a new silver Audi, courtesy of Edward, which he loves.

"Alice, can you...?" I knew what Edward was asking, but I also knew Alice's response. She glanced at both of us and sadly shook her head.

"Sorry Edward, It's all blank." She sounded frustrated. I just smiled at her, telling her it was ok.

Next thing I heard were steps coming up the porch, followed by three small taps on the door. Esme graciously rose to answer the door. I just sat still and listened to my daughter and stepson enter the room.

"Hello Nessie, Jake." Esme welcomed.

"Hey Esme." I saw her smile warmly at Jacob.

"Hey Grandma, is everyone home?"

"Yes go on through dear, I will call them all down."

Nessie's footsteps came closer to the living room and I smiled at her presence. Jacob came in a few minutes later carrying his own personal smile. I sprinted over to her, and embraced her warm body tightly. She smiled brightly and went over to greet her father and Alice. Jake walked further into the room and I gave him a tight squeeze as well. He chuckled and sat himself on the armchair.

Esme walked over to the bottom of the staircase and shouted up to the others announcing Renesmee and Jacob's presence. Everyone came down and greeted them.

"Shall we convene in the dining room?" Carlisle asked. We all agreed and made our way to the large wooden table.

Renesmee sat at the head with Jacob by her side, along with the rest of the family. My daughter nervously scratched her palm and look at Jake for support. He smiled encouragingly and urged her to begin.

"Okay. Well I'm sure Mom and Dad have told you everything about my big news?" She looked at the family then at me and Edward. I smiled sheepishly confirming her question. "Well see, I'm... I'm... See uh..." She couldn't finish and turned to Jacob for help.

"She's pregnant, we found yesterday and wanted to tell you all together." He smiled happily and turned to Nessie, also carrying a loving smile. I was speechless. By the looks of it, the family were also lost for words.

I was so happy for her. I stole a quick peek at Edward and let down my shield, We are going to be grandparents! He smiled proudly at me and we turned our attention back to our daughter.

"That's wonderful news dear, this means I'm going to be a great grandmother? How beautiful." Esme's love evapourated around the table and everyone said their congratulations.

"Can I throw a baby shower Nessie, Please, Oh please?!" Alice was already ahead of schedule. Renesmee nodded at her Aunt. Alice clapped her dainty hands, then grabbed Jasper and disappeared.

"Blimey Squirt, another little kid I can teach to play baseball, you were terrible at it," Emmetts eyes sparkled at that thought. "I'm happy for you both, congrats." He pulled Nessie into one of his famous 'bear hugs' and clapped Jake on the shoulder. They both smiled kindly back at Emmett.

"You deserve every ounce of happiness sweetie." Rosalie kissed Nessie's cheek, gave Jake a small squeeze, then her and Emmett left the table.

Carlisle rose from the table and said. "We will leave you four to privately talk for a bit." With that, they both left with contented smiles, up the staircase. It was just the four of us left at the table.

"Mom? Dad? Please say something. You are happy for us right?" Renesmee asked. Jacob raised his eyebrows and paitently waited for our response. Edward spoke first.

"Nessie, Jake. I am very pleased for the two of you. You are old enough and mature enough, and I can't wait to be a grandfather." I smiled at Edward. we would have never had any of this if it weren't for him and our little miracle. Edward would be a fantastic grandpop.

"Thanks Dad, I love you so much. I know you will be a fantastic Grandpop to our child." Edwards eyes lit up with devotion for his unborn grandchild. It was Jake's turn to speak.

"Thanks Edward, You're blessing means everything to us." He smiled and nodded and his stepson.

"I need to check on something in the garage quick, want to help me Jake?" Edward asked. Jake jumped up and headed for the garage. Edward rose, squeezed my shoulder and left with Jacob.

"Mom?" Nessie asked timidly.

"Oh honey, I'm so happy for you both." Nessie's eyes sparkled with happiness at my approval, and she leapt into my arms and gave me a hug. I chuckled. "Did you think I would not approve of my own grandchild?" She giggled and shook her head.

"Of course not." She replied. "I love you Mom, so much."

I was so touched. I kissed her cheeks and pulled her over to the living room. We sat down on the love seat together and I demanded questions from her. It was about time we had some mother-daughter bonding time.

I really was ecstatic for my family to grow bigger and better.
