“Did you sketch that?” Edward asked suddenly. He was looking to the sketch I did earlier at the park. I completely went crimson.

“Well...Yes, I did” I said after a pause. I still had some dignity left to keep up.

“It’s very beautiful. Especially the man there on the bridge” he said with a smirk. I gave him a nasty look as I walked over to the kitchen to make some more hot chocolate. It was like my happy pill.

He was there before I even reached the cupboard. Darn vampires and there freaking un-human speed.

“Do you know what’s odd?” He said as he poured the hot chocolate powder into the mug. I leaned against the island and watched him suspiciously. Maybe he’d put poison in to it and then kill me. At least it wouldn’t hurt as much.

“You smell exactly like hot chocolate and cinnamon” Edward said as he leaned over me. He inhaled a deep breath at my neck. I pushed him off, rolled my eyes, and took my hot chocolate to the living room. When I got to the living room, I took a deep inhale to calm myself down. Every time he came close I could feel my heart rate going up.

“Yea, I’ve been told” I said to him as he walked back in.

“No, you really smell like it. Like your blood. It’s kind of funny, really. Since that’s all you seem to drink” he smirked as he sat down beside me. There was a long pause. Me sipping my hot chocolate and him staring at me.

Once again with the whole staring into my soul look.

“Could you stop looking at me like that?” I asked. He laughed.

“Sorry, your just very...” he paused to look for the right word “interesting to me”

“So that means you won’t kill me?” I asked with the most serious tone I could find. It was hard to tell what he was playing at now. He was so calm and relaxed, plus he was dead beat geourgeous, I would have thoughten that he would have wanted to ask me to prom. But, I realized, this is exactly why they are made this way. To suck in there pray, making them feel right at home. Then, when they least expect it, they’re dead.

I think that’s what terrified me the most about him, the fact that he is probably thinking about which way to kill me. My hands started to shake a bit, so I chugged the rest of my hot chocolate.

“Well,” he finally began “I don’t think I could kill you”

My head shot up to look at him. He looked at ease, like this was particularly normal.

“Well, for one thing, you are far to funny to be killed, plus” he said as he leaned over me suddenly “that was a very good kiss” He leaned down slowly to my mouth when I burst.

“No! That is just plain stupid! J-just leave, alright?!” I commanded in my loudest voice.

Ally, what are you thinking? You’re first kiss, and your making him walk out the door? Said the little voice inside my head. But honestly, first he stalks me, then tries to kill me, then tries to kiss me...

Maybe he is a rapist.

I pushed him off my couch and to the front door. It felt like I was pushing ice, he was so cold. I was tempted to ask if he wanted to borrow a jacket, but then I remembered.

“You know I won’t give up that easily” Edward said as he put on his shoes. I glared. I think when he left I was going to puke. I had never been this tough or frieghtened in my entire life. He suddenly grabbed my jaw and held it up so that my eyes looked in to his eyes.

“I’ll be watching you” he said as he came in and gave me a smooch on the lips. It was all so fast I forgot to kick or scream. I just stood there as he explored my mouth with his tounge. He tasted like peppermint, or candy canes. It was delicious and amazing.

But I soon realized what he was doing, so I pushed him off, out my door and slammed it shut.

Then the vomit came up.

It had been a week ever since I met Edward. And he kept true to his word. When ever I would slip, he always seemed to be there to catch me. Whenever I’d shovel the snow, he’d magically appear with his own shovel and do half of it for me. Whenever I’d draw in the park, he’d appear beside me and watch. My friends noticed him as well.

“Ally, who the fuck is that guy?” Cydney asked during lunch. Edward had just come to the class room and gave me my lunch which I had forgotten at home. But instead of my usual sandwich and hot chocolate, it was pad thai, spring rolls, and hot chocolate. All my favourite foods.

“Yea, when Al and I were at the park the other day, she almost took a huge spill, but that guy came and caught her” Sarah mentioned while munching on a carrot.

“Oh my gosh, is he your boyfriend? Gahh! That explains everything! How your so much more daydreamish and how you can’t remember anything...” Emily burst. Everyone stared at me for an explanation. But what could I tell them? Yea, some vampire was stalking me, then he tried to kill me, but I stopped him cause I kissed him now he’s all nice to me. Sure.

“Well, he’s ... a friend” I said bluntly will I chugged down my pad thai so I couldn’t speak to them.

“Wow. A friend my ass” Cydney replied as she threw a popcorn at me.

“No, really. I ... met him last weekend, and he... goes to a different school ... and whenever he see’s me, he’s just really nice” I tried to come up with an excuse, but with the look on my friends faces, it wouldn’t pass. I stuffed my food into my bag, ran to the door and called out some excuse.

What would you do in this sort of situation?
