Chapter 11

Bella's Point of View

It had been two hours and he was still following us. God, this was so hard. Alice had called Carlisle and explained what had happened. He was really worried and wanted to check me out. I couldn't let Edward know about the baby, not yet, not until I was ready.

"Alice, can you ask Edward to not come back to the house for half an hour? Just so Carlisle can check me out. I will tell Edward about the baby, but I need time to think."

"I'll do what I can, but he really needs to know." She had a stern face on.

"Yes, I know. It's just going to be hard after today, but hey, my mum was a single mum. And I'm sure I can manage." I smiled, but it did not reach my eyes.

She gave me a serious look of disapproval, before adding, "Bella, you are not going to be a single mum, you have all of us," she then look a deep breath, "even if you don't want, Edward." She was really sad when she said this; I hated seeing her like this.

It wasn't that I didn't want Edward anymore. I don't think I could after what I saw. I still loved him, but he had betrayed me. "Alice, he's hurt me and, for that alone, I don't think I can forgive him." Now tears were falling down my face. Stupid hormones.

Edward did what Alice had asked; he didn't follow us back to the house, which I was really thankful for.

Carlisle checked me out, but wasn't very happy with my condition. The baby had put a lot of pressure on my body.

I was to rest, but I couldn't. I needed to get out of here before Edward got back. I decided to go for a walk; I needed to get out of the Cullen's house and away from all reminders of Edward.

I had walked for hours and yet, I had still not made up my mind to what I was going to do. Should I stay at the Cullen's or should I leave and find my own place? There was no way I could go back to Charlie's.

Edward's Point of View

I was in turmoil, I had to figure out a way to get Bella back. I had obeyed her wishes and stayed away from the house for thirty minutes. Now, I couldn't wait any longer; I needed to talk to her.

I ran back to the house as fast as I could. When I arrived, everyone was angry at me for what I had done, but there was pain. There was so much that I had to understand, but they were all blocking me out.

I opened the door and walked in. They were all there, except Bella. I just stood there with my head down; waiting for what I knew was to come.

Rosalie was the first to break the silence, "How could you do that to Bella, you idiot? You don't deserve her or anything else." With that she stormed out of the room. What the hell did she mean by that?

"Stay out of my way, Edward, or help me God, I will kill you," came from Emmett before he left the room.

I could still read his mind, 'He doesn't deserve Bella or the baby, poor Bella.' Wait, what was this about a baby? I had now heard it twice; now it was my time for questions and I would get answers.

"Alice, Carlisle, what is this about Bella and a baby?"

They both just looked at each other, then at me, shock written all over their faces.

Carlisle was the first to answer, "Edward, son, you will have to talk to Bella about that. We cannot give you answers to your questions, only Bella can do that." He had pain written all over his face like Alice and Esme.

"Where is Bella then? I need to talk to her explain what happened in Delani."

"Edward, she went for a walk to clear her head about twenty minutes ago. Let her have some space, please." Alice asked.

All I could do was nod my head. With that, I ran up to my room. I had to try and make sense of all this before I spoke to Bella.

Bella's Point of View

I had been walking around now for hours and it'd started to get dark. I knew that they would be worried about me, but I just couldn't care at this moment in time. My heart was broken.

I had decided that Edward and I needed to talk and it would be sooner rather than later. Time wasn't on my side as the baby could come at any time and if I wasn't to make it, then I would want Edward to look after our child.

Just as I had started to work my way back to the Cullen's house, there, standing in front of me, was a female vampire with strawberry blonde hair. It was Tanya.
