“What are you doing with that!?” I looked up from Bella and Jacob in the garage to see my dad’s purple face. My hands went slick in nerves sweat on the cover of my forbidden book. “Give me that, now.” He ordered; holding his large hand out for it. I shook my head and held onto it with all I had. “Don’t tell me no! Give me that dam book!” He stormed over and yanked it out of my hands. “Now, where are the others?”

“They’re just books dad.”

“I want the others, now.” He growled, I slowly got up from my bed and went to my closet. A corner in the back was full of clothes and shoes; I moved everything to show my other three books hiding place. Handing them to my dad I took the cover off Twilight. “What are you doing?”

“Why do you care, you have my books.” I grumbled and sat back down on my bed. He grumbled something to himself and walked out of the room. I felt tears roll down my face, it wasn’t fair. I would have to barrow from my friends again, if they would let me.

I sat there for a few minutes feeling pitiful, why did my dad hate the books so much? I didn’t see anything wrong with them. Something tickled my nose and I breathed in deeply. Fire. I walked out of my room and into the living room, where I could see through the glass doors into the back yard. A small pile of something was burning, and my dad was standing over it. “No!” I screamed and ran out the doors and into the bake yard. Dada grabbed me before I could stick my hands in and grab Breaking Dawn which was currently smoking.

“Like you said, they’re just books!”

“But they’re mine! I hate you! You ruin everything!” I screamed and pulled out of his grip. I ran back through the house and out the front door. I collapsed at the front step, something was wrong. I could still smell my books burning; the Twilight world was on fire. “Edward, Bella, Carlisle… They’re all gone.”

I went to bed without dinner that night; I didn’t feel like eating anyway. I laid there in the dark, looking at nothing. The memory of the books burning played over and over again n my head. Something moved in my room, it was too dark to see it clearly. Turning on my light I sat there confused, nothing was there. “I could have sworn I saw something.” I mumbled; shrugging I turned the light off and went to bed.

“Kailyn, get up. You’ll be late for school.” I moaned as mom walked out of my room.

“They can live without me for one day.”

“Now, Kailyn.” She ordered from her room, I pealed myself from the bed and stumbled out the door to the bathroom. The shower woke me up and the warm water felt great. I wrapped a towel around my wet body and went back into my room. Closing the door I removed my towel and looked in my closet for some clean clothes.

“Oh!” I jumped and turned around; a tall, bronze haired teenage boy was sitting on my bed with his hands over his eyes. I screamed and grabbed my towel, putting it back on.

“Who the hell are you, what are you doing in my room!?”

“I was hopping you could tell me!” He said, peeking through his fingers to see if I had my towel on.

“What’s going on in there? What’s the screaming?” Mom asked through the door, the boy waved his hands and shook his head no.

“Scorpion, don’t worry I got it.” I answered her; we listened as she walked off. “Now, who the hell are you?”

“Um, Edward… Edward Cullen.”

“Yeah, and I’m the long lost princess of Malabutoo.” I scoffed, he blinked.

“You don’t believe me?”

“What, that you’re a vampire that eats animals and is in love with a human girl that couldn’t stay out of trouble for anything? Yeah, I don’t believe you.” He blinked again, looking confused.

“How do you know this?”

“How do I know this? Edward Cullen is the most famous name known in America. What world did you live in, strange stalker dude.” He stood up and I backed away from him. He looked around my room and just shook his head.

“I don’t understand. One minute I’m with Bella and we’re running back to the main house, and the next…” He turned to look at me. “Where am I?”

“Uh… Well, you’re standing in the middle of my room, Arizona.”

“Arizona!” His eyes grew huge and he went over to my window, looking through the curtain. “Not possible, how the hell did I get here?”

“Um… you probably crawled through my window, dude. Now crawl back out.” He shook his head.

“You don’t understand. I was here last night; I sort of just… woke up? But that’s not possible… I’m so confused.” He sat back down on my bed and held his face with his hands.

“Come on, I know you’re having some sort of mind loosing thing going on with you but… you can’t be here. I’ve got to get ready for school and you probably have some box or something you live in that’s waiting for you somewhere other than my room.” I opened my window and motioned for him to leave.

“I live in Washington.” He said; I rolled my eyes and reached for his arm.

“Then I suggest you start walking.” The second my hand touched his arm… it didn’t. I fell through him onto the bed. “What the… Oh my god!” He jumped up and backed into the far corner of my room.

“What have you done to me?” He growled; I held onto my towel and backed into the other corner.

“What the hell are you?”

“You know what I am.”

“Oh my god it’s Edward Cullen.” I slumped to the floor and sat there staring at the one man I had always dreamed about. “Edward Cullen is in my room… of my house… oh my god.”

“Now what are you doing in there?” I heard my mom ask, I wasn’t really there to answer her though. After all, Edward Cullen was in my room. “Kailyn? Honey? If you don’t answer me I’m coming in.” Edward eyes widened and he looked at me, hoping that I would answer. When I didn’t he looked for a place to hide, jumping into my closet and closing the door. Mom walked in and looked around the room, her eyes fell on me on the floor and she gasped. “Kailyn! What happened sweetie?” She crouched down in front of me and cradled my face in her hands.

“Edward Cullen.” I mumbled; still dazed that the hottest man in the world was now in my closet.

“Oh, Love. I asked your father not to, but he wouldn’t listen. I am so sorry about your books. But now maybe you can live in the real life? Vampires aren’t real, so don’t wrap your life around them.” She helped me up and sat me on the bed. “Now put some clothes on, you’re going to be late.” She walked out and closed the door.

“What books?” Edward opened the closet door and detangled himself from the mess of clothes that had tried to eat him.

“The Twilight books, about you and Bella.”
