“Edward?” I asked as I slowly entered my room. He was lying on his stomach with his face in my pillow. “How do you feel.”

“Odd, very odd.” He answered, not looking up from the pillow.

“Sick odd, or the world is spinning without me odd?”

“A bit of both actually.” He answered, I sat down next to him on the bed and reached to rub his back. Of course, my hand went through him. But this time it was strangely different, there was a friction to it. “I felt that.”

“Sorry, didn’t mean to mess with your insides or anything.” The thought grossed me out, a lot. “But you seem more… solid than before.” Edward rolled over onto his back and looked at me. He raised his hand up and grabbed my arm, it only lasted for a second before his fingers went through me.

“Hmm, maybe that’s the odd. I’m becoming less translucent.” He did it again and I shied away. His hands were cold, very cold. “Sorry.”

“Not your fault.” I assured, he rolled his eyes.

“Kailyn, if I told you that I was going to stay for one more day what would you say?” he sounded expectant.

“Well, I would ask why for starters. Bella and the others are probably waiting for you.” He nodded and closed his eyes.

“Yes, but I don’t know if they are. What if something happened? What if I was sent here because they don’t exist anymore?” Now he sounded scared, I couldn’t blame him. It didn’t really make since on how he just randomly showed up in my room.

“I’m sure they’re fine. They’re probably thinking the same thing as you right now.” I assured, he didn’t seem convinced. “I have an idea, why don’t you try to call Carlisle or someone?” Edward opened his eyes and looked at me, I could practically see the gears grinding in his head

“Sure.” I jumped up and ran out of my room in search of the phone. I brought it back and closed my door. He took it and dialed a number, after a few rings someone answered. “Carlisle?” I couldn’t hear the person on the other side, but who ever it was, they brought a wide smile to Edwards face. “Yeah it’s me. I can’t explain what happened either. Is Bella all right? Good, tell her I am so sorry. I’m in Arizona. Don’t ask me how I got here, I haven’t a clue.” He turned to me. “Where exactly am I in Arizona?”

“Gilbert. In the Valley of the Sun.” Edward nodded and went back to the phone conversation.

“Did you hear that? Oh, that was this girl I met. Yeah, her name is Kailyn. Oh, let’s just say I found myself in her room. Don’t ask me how.” I sat back down on the bed and watched as Edward paced up and down my small room. “Have you been experiencing any strange problems? Like touching other people? I know, I can’t explain it. Okay, I’m heading up tomorrow. I’ve got a few things to do first. Oh, keep everyone out of town. Somehow the humans seem to know what we are. Yes I know, but it’s true. I can’t explain anything right now. See you soon. Yes, I’ll be careful. Goodbye.” He hung up and handed me the phone. “You were right.”

“I thought so.”
