It was a very happy morning in Edward and Bella's cottage. Bella was sitting on Edward's lap as they talked about their plans for the day. The sound of Renesmee's steady breathing and the birds chirping outside filled the air. It was a very different picture from the vampires you saw on TV or read about in books. Bella was so grateful for her "shield" as she thought about Renesmee and how maybe she should take this time away from the threat of the volturi to have some human experiences. She just didn't know how Edward was going to take it. Then again, maybe he would want Renesmee to have more human experiences. After all, he considered being a vampire more of a curse then a blessing. She was interuppted by Edward, who could often read her thoughts by her face. "What's wrong?" Bella could hear both concern and curiosity in his beautiful voice.

"I was just thinking about Renesmee."

"What about her?"

"I don't know, it's just that sometimes I think we all forget that she is part human, too."

"What do you mean? What do you think we should do?"

"Well, now that the volturi is out of the picture--"

"For now, Bella. The volturi is out of the picture for now."

"I am saying that we should take this time to give Renesmee some more human experiences. She should develop friendships with humans. We should embrace both her immortal side and her human side."

"That is a good idea. Is there a specific reason you were having anxiety telling me before?"

"I just didn't know how you would take it, that's all."

"Bella, I always want to hear every thought and idea that crosses your mind. Even the most unimportant things you think of are valuable to me. I love you."

"I love you, too," she said before she pulled his face to hers and gave him a long kiss. She stood up and smoothed the wrinkles out of her jeans.

"I am going to wake Renesmee."

"I wouldn't mind if you waited awhile before you woke her."

She smiled, but said,"I am excited to get started on those human experiences we were discussing."

"Me too. But after those human experiences, do you think we could have dinner together and leave Renesmee here with Jacob?"

"Sounds wonderful. Want to join me to wake up our daughter?" In response, Edward stood up and walked to her side, wrapping his arm around her waist. They walked into Renesmee's room and stood for awhile just watching her sleep. Finally, Bella walked over and kissed Renesmee on the cheek. Edward followed and did the same. Her eyes fluttered open and once she saw both her parents looking down at her, she smiled.

"Good morning. Did you sleep well?" Bella asked as she picked up her daughter, who was still wrapped up in a soft pink blanket. Renesmee touched her little hand to her mother's face, showing her a picture of them with Edward and Jacob.

"Yes, honey, we are going to play with Jacob today."

Edward reached out his hands for his daughter, "I think that I will treat Renesmee to some scrambled eggs this morning," he said, winking at Bella. She smiled back and followed him into the kitchen.

While Edward made some breakfast for Renesmee, Bella sat down at the kitchen table holding Renesmee and chatting with Edward about what she had in mind for the day.

"I'm not sure what we should do." Bella said as she stroked Renesmee's hair and worryed about what to do.

"Why don't you ask Renesmee." Edward said cooly as he flipped the eggs onto a plate and slid them in front of Bella and Renesmee. Both girls smiled in response and Renesmee lifted her hand to Bella's face. Bella saw the image in her head as Edward read it in her thoughts.

"That's perfect," They both said.
