A New Lie

Twilight/HP crossover This is the sequel to A New Start but you don't have to read that to understand this. Hello! Have you ever had you boyfriend cheat on you, find out your parents are dead then find out that you aren’t who you thought you were for your entire life? All on the same day? Chances are you answer is no. Mine is yes. And adding Draco Malfoy into the mix doesn’t make a good time for me. My name is Hermione Granger.

I do NOT own any twilight or harry potter characters or anything that is similar to either of those two books. Alice is my AWESOME beta for this story too and i need your opinion as to if i should continue the Alice Funnies from A New Start or not.

Chapter 3After the Great Feast Professor McGonagall showed Draco and I our room.

“The password needs to be changed every week or so. The password for now is Fearless after the world famous muggle CD by Tiana Santiago.” She told us.

We walked in and froze immediately. This was followed by Draco.

The common room was a mix of green, red, silver, and gold. It had two armchairs, a love seat, and a beautiful rug in front of the fireplace, bookshelves covered with books, and a large desk with two chairs. We each moved towards our bedrooms that were labeled with our names etched into gold plaques hanging on the corresponding door.

I walked into a stunning purple room that had the standard four-poster bed, a small desk, and nightstand. It also had a window seat by the window that had a purple cushions, curtains along with silky blankets, and pillowcases all embroidered with silver. There were two oak doors on the east wall. The first was a middle-sized walk-in closet and the second opened up to a spacious bathroom with a large bathtub, two showers, and two sinks along with a toilet. The entire room was an artistic match of silver, green, and purple.

I then noticed that Malfoy was just as shocked as I about the finery called our living quarters. As we walked around I took a peek at his bedroom to see a room almost identical to mine but in Slytherin green. We stared at each other speechless for the second time in about two minutes until he said, “Well this is interesting Mudblood. Good night.”

I repeated the last few words and then left to change and sleep.

The Next Day

I woke up feeling refreshed then took a quick shower before changing and heading down to breakfast.

“Hi Hermione.” Ginny greeted.

“Hey.” I said as I grabbed a muffin and sat down.

“So how’s the head room? Details please.” She pleaded. Harry and Ron then turned away from their conversation with Neville to listen.

“It’s nice. The bedroom is huge and purple.” Ginny sighed at my vagueness.

“Attentions students. This year we will be offering another sport that will become an inter-house contest much like Quidditch. The tryouts for gymnastics will take place after your last class today in room 313. This sport will be only for the girls. Thank you. You are excused.” Dumbledore finished as a loud groan was emitted into the hall.

“Are you trying out Hermione?” asked Ginny.

“Yes but under a Glamour charm so no one will know who I am. I already talked to the coach about it.” I concluded.

Later That Day

I cast a simple Glamour Charm on. It changed my hair to straight and blonde that reached my lower back, sea foam blue eyes, and a tan complexion. Then I pulled my long-sleeved red leotard on. I put my plain cloak on and ran to room 313 through secret passageways. I arrived at the very last minute and they were just starting when I peeled the cloak off me and joined the group.

“Who are you?” asked the ever arrogant Pansy Parkinson.

“My name is Taylor James.” I replied, my soft voice tinkling across the group.

“Welcome Ms. James,” Coach Brandon said. “My name is Cynthia Brandon. My sister, and only living member of my family, is Alice Brandon Whitlock Hale. Now since you are all witches no magic is allowed in the gym and we will be doing our own form of gymnastics. Each week every girl will put a different Glamour charm on and the audience will have to guess who you are based on the music you use and the moves. Okay let’s start with Anna Beman.”

As the tryouts started I wondered why Cynthia had shared such a personal piece of her life with us.

Finally my turn came and I preformed a difficult routine I had been working on all summer to Goodbye by Kristinia DeBarge. When it was over everyone just stared at me. Finally Pansy smirked.

“Was that only three single handed back flips because I can do five,” she boasted.

“Actually it was twelve. I was doing four per beat for three beats. It was so fast that it just looked like it was three,” I smirked back. She gasped because I was the only person ever to show her up like that.

About an hour later auditions were over with a promise of posting the results the following morning and I left last through the secret door behind the bleachers. When I reached the common room I wasn’t alone as I covered my face and raced upstairs. I heard a gasp and knew that Draco had seen at least part of me. I spent the remainder of the afternoon doing homework in my room.

“Did you rock?” Ginny asked at dinner.

“If by rock you mean beating Parkinson’s butt and doing a complex flip combo then yes.” All three of them stared at me.

“What?” I asked incredulously.

“Nothing.” Harry replied nonchalantly.

The following morning the teams weren’t posted…
