A New Lie

Summary:
Twilight/HP crossover This is the sequel to A New Start but you don't have to read that to understand this. Hello! Have you ever had you boyfriend cheat on you, find out your parents are dead then find out that you aren’t who you thought you were for your entire life? All on the same day? Chances are you answer is no. Mine is yes. And adding Draco Malfoy into the mix doesn’t make a good time for me. My name is Hermione Granger.

Notes:
I do NOT own any twilight or harry potter characters or anything that is similar to either of those two books. Alice is my AWESOME beta for this story too and i need your opinion as to if i should continue the Alice Funnies from A New Start or not.

Chapter 7

It was the night of the Masquerade Ball and I was in my room getting ready. I put yet another Glamour charm on myself. I was becoming quite the professional at them. It made my hair calm. I had soft black curls to the middle of my back and I was taller and leaner with slightly tanner skin and the most amazing dark blue eyes with flecks of silver in them. Then I pulled the one-of-a-kind dark blue dress on.

The dress was sleeveless and silk with a sweetheart neckline that was trimmed with silver on top. The skirt was a ball gown style with three layers. The first layer started at about halfway up my right thigh to my halfway down my lower calf on the left. The next layer started a bit off center to the left and ended at my right ankle and the last layer was the one that made the hem. At the bottom of each layer was an embroidered design of small flowers and other abstract objects.

The bodice and skirt of the dress were lightly dashed with a bit of shimmer powder so that the dress shone when the light hit it just right. To go with the marvelous dress were a pair of four-inch strap silver heels, silver dangly earrings with a blue gem at the bottom of each, and soft blue and silver eye shadow with mascara and eyeliner and a light pink lipstick with gloss.

I pulled my hair in to a slight half up half down with a couple of loose curls in my face and secured it with a silver butterfly clip. The final touch was a mask that was magically attached to my glamour charm like the instructions said. If the mask was taken off the glamour charm would also be removed. The mask itself was the same blue as my dress with silver designs and sequins all over t.

After about two hours of teasing and redoing my make up, I left for the Gryffindor common room to meet up with my friends.

I gasped when I saw Ginny and Luna in their gowns and everybody turned to see me and gasped at me.

“You look AMAZING!” cried Ginny who had left her looks the same. Her idea was that her pen pal would think that she was some one different under a glamour charm when it was still her. Ginny wore an emerald green halter dress with a ball gown skirt and a pick up on the side to show a lighter green underskirt. She had matching makeup and a pair of emerald green heels on. Her mask was solid green to match her dress with a trim of light green. Harry stood next to her, his eyes and tie matched her dress.

Neville stood next to a dreamy Luna who wore a slightly A-lined halter dress in light pink with two ribbons of darker pink crossing at her waits. Her mask was the same light pink with silver swirls decorating it. Neville was wearing a matching pink tie and Ron was wearing a silver tie just like I had told him to. All three boys wore simple black masks to match their muggle tuxes.

“Well we better get going or we will be really late.” I said.

We headed to the stairs for a grand entrance. Neville and Luna caught the crowd’s attention, Harry and Ginny shocked them, and Ron and I blew them away, literally. The entire student body was blown into the ballroom by Dumbledore who was muttering something about enjoying the party instead of ogling other students.

I smiled as I walked into the ballroom radiating beauty and confidence. For the next hour I hung out with my friends and danced until it was time to find our pen pals. My number flashed above my head in red as I started to search for student 231. Finally I walked up to a silver blonde man in a well fitted muggle tux and ocean blue eyes.

“Hello.” I said kindly to my pen pal. He turned around. His face basically told me his thoughts and I laughed. He was probably thinking something along the lines of…the hottest girl here is my pen pal.

Hermione had no idea how correct she was.
