My left hand rested on his broad shoulder and he still had my right hand in his grasp. His right hand slid from my shoulder to my hip and I flinched at the movement. The violins started and the harps played the sweetest sound. Our feet were moving at the exact rhythm. I knew this dance as the back of my hand where a lot of other things were too. He seemed very - more than I expected - comfortable with being so close to me. I was so nervous I had to keep my eyes down at his chest - that sounds wrong but true - the whole time. He squeezed my hand and I automatically looked up in instinct. He was smiling down at me with much radiance. I was so wary that I was going to fall from his beauty.

I knew I was beautiful but I was probably hideous compared to him. Or maybe I was just exaggerating... I didn't know and I really didn't care. For some odd reason I felt an electric pull to him and I didn't care about anything else. I had this strong feeling telling me to just reach up and touch those soft lips to mine once more and never let go. But I did have a conscious and it always won over desperate feelings. It was not proper and I didn't even know him. I couldn't get tangled into those kinds of feelings. No way!

All that time I spent over talking to myself, Edward had pulled me closer to him and that caught back my attention. I looked back up at him as he was twirling me around with one hand. The dance was almost over; I missed my favorite dance with a hot guy! I so hated myself for this kind of punishment for feeling the way I did. I knew my conscious was going to punish me some how. Damn it.

The violins hit a soft note and that was the cue for the dip which ended the dance. Told you I knew this dance well. He held my back tightly as he slowly dipped me, his face just inches from mine. My eyes widened as he was slowly making no space between us. His nose was beside mine as he brushed his lips on mine, making my heart stop completely.

He brought his head up and brought me back up, his arms still tightly secured around my waist. I looked around for one short second and saw all the people dancing barely bringing their selves up, none looking at us. I barely noticed that all that had barely happened in a few seconds. When it really felt like a million years had just flown by us. I swallowed hard as I stared into his face. He smiled lightly and let me go, bowed and spoke. "Good day madam Swan." I curtsied and he departed back to his table.

Haley ran to me and I almost fell in her arms. "Bella!" She hissed as she held me up. I tried to stand up but my legs were shaking under me. I quickly shock my head and stood up straight, as if shaking dizziness away. "Yes what can I help you with sister?" I asked politely to my elder sister. "You have a letter from Torino, France." She whispered. My sister Precious was in Torino and we only got letters when some one had fallen. What if- No I couldn't think that!

I rushed past her and out of the ballroom. Haley hurried behind me to the court chamber, that's where all the mail went to. I opened the large doors and asked the maid where my letter was. She pulled it out from her basket of sheets. I grabbed it and quickly opened it, giving myself a paper cut, but I didn't even notice it. I scanned the letter and sighed in relief. "What's going on Bella?" Haley asked, anxious to know what was written in the unexpected letter from our sister Precious. "She's coming home. Haley, Precious is just coming home and with good news too." I said as I read the last bit of the letter. I heard my sister breathe a sigh of relief. "She go us all worked up for nothing!" Haley was apparently upset with her though I don't know why. "So what's the good news she brings?" Haley asked after a quiet moment. "They had gotten rid of more new born vampires than expected and now Torino has no more reason for a visit in a while." I said in discomfort. I didn't like the idea of us killing our own kind who don't even know what their doing. They were being controlled and had to fight just for land. It was stupid and immature of us and the people responsible.

"Oh..." She seemed to notice my discomfort and hugged me. "It's awful, I know but that's just what father wants and that's what we have to do. They were just controlled for a while but we can't have thousands of wild, stupid, irresponsible vampires running around, threatening to expose us to the world... I'm sorry." She hugged tighter than let go. "Thanks sis." I said when I turned around to face her. She smiled brighter then sighed as we heard father coming into the room...
