I was sitting on the couch next to my father, he looked nervous. Two vampires were seated on the other couch, for what reason I did not know. Charlie had told me that we were meeting with important people today, but I thought that they were normal people.
The male was tall with dirty blond hair and a lean body, he looked around twenty-seven years old and like he could be Jasper's older brother. The female was small, but not as small as Alice, with long wavy dark brown hair.
They looked like overall nice people if you didn't know what they are, and the fact that you could tell they were dangerous. They had purple eyes, I had seen that done before, it was blue colored contacts over red eyes.
"Bella, this is Peter and Charlotte." Charlie said to me. Peter and Charlotte? Jasper's Peter and Charlotte? I gave them a smile and Charlotte squeezed Peter's hand and gave me a smile. What was up with them, and why did Charlie know them?
"Hi." I said, Charlie looked at me.
"By the look on your face, I can tell that you know what they are." How did Charlie know? I started panicking, I really needed Edward right now. Were they planning to eat me?
"What are you talking about?" I didn't want to out the Cullens, even though Charlie apparently knew that vampires roamed the Earth.
"You know we're vampires, Bella. It's okay, Charlie knows, he's known for quite some time." How long was 'quite some time'. I was starting to get pissed at the lack of information. Was I supposed to figure this all out by myself?
"Sorry, but, who the fuck are you, and why the hell are you here?" I snapped, crossing my arms over my chest. Peter smirked at me.
"Just like me." He said. I didn't know what that meant, did we know each other in a past life?
"Excuse me?" I said confused an angry that they were holding out on me. Peter chuckled at me, and then opened his arms as if he was expecting me to give him a hug. He was insane.
"I'm sorry Isabella, my name is Peter Whitlock, and I'm you biological father." I was out cold on the floor in a matter of seconds.
I found myself under the covers, in my bed a couple of hours later, my mind still handling the shock. How was that possible? There was no way that I could be Peter's daughter, vampires can't have children. Maybe it was all just a dream, I was in my bed after all.
I lifted my self up, and propped myself in a more comfortable spot on my pillow. I felt a cold hand touch my forehead, and my heart started racing.
"Edward?" I said, opening my eyes only to find Charlotte standing over me.
"Oh, honey, thank God you're alright." She said, a tiny southern accent coated her voice, it was pretty; like bells.
"What, what happened?" I asked, my voice shaking as I tried to calm down, this wasn't a dream at all, no, this was a nightmare.
"You passed out, sweetie. I know this is a lot to take in right now, but Peter would like to explain everything." She said as she nodded at Peter, who, up until now, I hadn't noticed. He smiled at me, and sat at the foot of my bed. I pulled my knees up to my chest and bit my lip.
"You don't need to be nervous Bella, we're not going to hurt you." I felt bad after hearing him say that, I didn't want him to think that I was scared of him.
"I'm not." I said trying to sound cheerful in my tone, it didn't work.
"You are." He said. Damn vampire senses.
"Fine I am." I admitted.
"And why is that?" He asked, his eyes locking with mine. I studied his face, and while doing so, I had noticed that we had the same smile, eyes, and nose. This is so creepy. He said Peter Whitlock. Was I related to Jasper?
"Well, having just learned that I'm the child of a vampire isn't exactly healthy for my sanity." I said giving him full eye contact. Charlotte laughed, well, bell chimed was more like it, and moved to sit next to Peter.
"That does make sense." She said as she moved her fingers through Peter's hair.
"So, explain why I exist." I said in an emotionless voice. My heart was pounding, and I felt the adrenaline rushing through my veins; I was scared, no... I was excited. I wasn't just plain old Bella Swan, I was different.
"Your mothers name was Caroline. I met her at a ranch in Texas a little over nineteen years ago, she cleaned the horse barns, and I was looking to buy the ranch. She was sixteen and I was physically twenty-seven. She wasn't very well off, so when I bought the ranch, I kept her, and paid her more than she used to make. She was a big fan of horses, so on the weekends, we would go riding. We became great friends. After a couple of weeks, things started happening; I had fallen in love with Caroline." I heard Charlotte hiss.
"I tried to control my feelings, because I was also in love with Charlotte. She came to me one day crying, she told me that in three months she was moving to Colorado because her father had gotten a new job. She didn't come back after that. I was in so much pain that I barely spoke to anyone. A week before her seventeenth birthday, she came back and told me she loved me. You were created that night, in the morning she left. Two months later, I got a knock on my door, I opened the door and found Caroline sobbing on the porch holding four positive pregnancy tests.
I didn't know it was possible, and when I asked her how far along she was she said two months. I've heard of vampires getting human women pregnant, but the pregnancy only lasts two months, and the mothers don't live. It was an anomaly that Caroline's pregnancy lasted for the regular nine months. While we were in the barn one day, her water broke, and I tried to get help, but we were in the middle of no where, so she gave birth to you right there. T-There was so much blood, that I lost control. Luckily Charlotte took you back to the house before I could attack you, but I-I killed Caroline. The mother of my child." He looked down in pain, and I knew that he still loved my mother. he looked back up and continued talking.
"When you were born you were more human than vampire, you definitely looked like a little vamp, but you smelt human; there was something about your blood though, it smelled sweeter than the average human. We didn't tell anyone about you. Hell, I didn't even tell Jasper, my best friend, and sort of brother. Charlotte and I decided that we wanted you to live a normal life, without vampires, so we put you up for adoption at a center in Seattle. Don't ask me why, but I just knew it had to be Seattle. When we met Charlie and Renee, Charlotte and I knew that we could trust them more than any other couple." Peter said and smiled at me. That was a lot to take in for my size. I was half-vampire, almost as adequate as Edward and the other Cullens. I can't believe no one told me.
"Is there anything you need to ask us?" Damn straight, there is a lot more to talk about.
"If you wanted me to live a normal life, then why did you come to see me? I could have lived and never knew about that." I said. Peter and Charlotte exchanged looks.
"Well, we figured that you'd flip a shit or two if you were forty years old, and didn't look a day over twenty-two."
"Twenty-two?" I asked, that was an odd number, but then again Peter is a very odd person; it's no wonder we're related.
"Yeah, your mother had you at seventeen, and I was twenty-seven. That's a ten year age difference, in iff you split that in half, you get five. Five and eighteen is twenty-two, that's how it works doll." He said.
"So, I'll live forever?" I asked, hoping that it was true.
"You sure as hell will. And besides now that I finally found you, there is nothing in this world that can take me away from my little girl. Well... unless you don't want to, I'd understand." I smiled at his compassion. With a past like his, he was an amazing person. I already felt a father-daughter connection to him, and it was coming on really strong.
"No, don't go. I want to know everything about my daddy." I smiled and jumped out of bed to give him a hug. He laughed and hugged me back.
"So, Jasper Whitlock? Is he your brother?" I asked him.
"No, well, yeah in a figurative sense, we're not related, but I like to think of him as my brother. He saved Charlotte's and I's fucking lives. And please, do you think someone of my intellect could be related to a ra-tard like Jazzy Poo." I laughed and got up to stand, tripping over my foot, and landing straight on my face.
Peter, um Daddy, gave me a smile and a thumbs up, mouthing ten. Charlotte was on the floor laughing. All of a sudden I heard someone trying to climb through my window.
"Edward!" I ran over to him and gave him a hug, he didn't return it, he just kept staring at Peter and Charlotte, his eyes getting dark. I heard Peter growl.
"Edward, what's wrong?" He pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Bella, what are they, doing here. Oh God, did they hurt you?" He growled; he was definitely angry.
"No, they didn't hurt me, they never would." I was getting pissed.
"You don't know them Bella, they drink human blood." Charlotte rolled her eyes, and Peter just kept trying not to pounce on Edward.
"What? And you do! My father, would never hurt me!" I yelled. Edward went blank.
"Damn, Peter, and you thought I was the ra-tard." I looked behind me to see Jasper Whitlock without a shirt. Oh. My. God.
