She Belongs to Him Now
Just a one-shot about what it'd be like for Jacob to lose twice. This is one of the saddest things I've written, seeing as I'm pretty protective of my version of Jacob. Read & Review, please. WARNING: Not my best work....

“Jacob, I love him.”
Words that would haunt me forever. Words that I'd heard before, from another love. Words that broke my heart even more. First with Bella, and now with Renesmee. It hurt a million times more with Nessie, because I loved her more than I could have ever loved Bella.
“Jacob, he asked me to marry him.” she told me.
I choked on my words, but managed to ask, “What did you say?” I couldn't believe it. For her to love him would be hard, but for her to marry him would hurt so much more. Her marrying him just seemed so permanent.
“Why?” I demanded. I never understood what Renesmee saw in that man. His wild hair, his awful accent, nothing drew me in. Maybe it's because he's a half breed, too.
“Because he loves me.” she snapped, using a tone that said 'Why don't you get it??!'
“You love him?” I whispered. She nodded.
“Well, then good luck.” I managed to keep a straight face, as I died inside.
“I'm sorry.” she whispered.
Tears went down my face, I couldn't hide it anymore.
“Oh, Jacob.” Great. Now I get her pity. “I wish I could make everything better for you.”
“Well Nessie, you just can't though can you? You can't love me, because I have nothing to offer you. Therefore, you have nothing to do than give me your pity. And that's the last thing I want.”
“Jakey, don't do this.” he reached for my hand, which I pulled back.
“Nessie, I can't do this. I really, cannot do this. I, I have to leave.” my head was in a fog.
“Jakey,” she whimpered, making me melt. “Don't leave me.”
“Just call Nahuel.” I snapped. “Your fiancée can get you through this.”
I stormed from the house, taking my keys with me. I got into my car and drove off. I thought about the life that they'd have together. First, he'd marry her, and call her his own. Then they'd go on a honeymoon, and....
I couldn't think of it. I drove even faster, as complete rage came over me.
Then, they'd have children. Little versions of Nessie, and they'd be mixed with him. They'd buy a home together, live together, through parties, and have a great life.
“Hi, welcome to Andrew's Jewelers, can I help you?” the clerk asked.
“Yes, I'd like to return this.” I sighed.
“I'm very sorry sir, but we don't do returns on custom made engagement rings. Now, I'm sure with all the money you've spent, you'd like to save it for someone special?”
“I did, and here I am.”
“Let me see what I can do.” she agreed. “Name please?”
I gave her my name and information.
“Says here that you bought this six months ago, is that correct?”
“Yes, yes it is.” six months ago is when she thought she loved me. Six months ago she didn't belong to him.
