Bella POV

"Bella, are you ready?" Edward called from downstairs. I sighed. We were going to the theatre to see the musical Chicago. I quickly hooked the solitaire diamond necklace around my neck, grabbed my tiny clutch purse and went downstairs to meet my husband and daughter. His jaw nearly hit the floor as he took in what I was wearing. The theatre was one place where I thought Alice's clothing choices were justified. I found a dress that I thought would suit me well. It was a v-neck dress that reached halfway down my calf. It was just a tiny bit brighter than midnight blue. i had kept my hair down, satisfied with its look. I was glad he thought I looked nice. In an odd way, it was comforting.

"You look beautiful, darling." he said, smiling his adorable crooked grin.

"Shall we?" I asked and put my arm out.

"We shall." He said, linking my arm with his. And we headed out for a night of theatre.

Edward POV

I felt my excitement grow as we entered the performing arts center. I had always loved piano, but seeing theatre was up on my list, too. Chicago was, in my opinion, one of the best broadway musicals of all time. I sat down just as the lights dimmed.

I felt a small twinge of sadness as the actors began to sing Mr.Cellophane. It made me miss my human home in Chicago. I recognized that I was home sick, but I didn't want to tell Bella just yet, not until I was sure of how bad it was.

It was very bad. by the end of the show my heart was dying to go home. I remembered the size of my home well, as Carlisle and I stayed for a while when I was a newborn. It could hold us all, even if Jacob had wanted to come. I shoved the thought out of my head and fought back the urge to shudder. I decided to go talk to Carlisle. When we arrived home, Renesmee flew into Bella's arms.

"I missed you momma." she said into Bellas shoulder. Bella laughed quietly.

"I missed you too, Nessie." Renesmee then took her arms off of Bella and reached out to me. I took her happily and planted a kiss on her forehead.

"I love you daddy." she said in a small voice.

"I love you too, sweetheart." I said. Before long, Renesmee had fallen asleep in my lap. We tucked her into her crib together. Bella headed toward our bedroom before stopping.

"Are you coming?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

"In a minute." I said, "I wanted to ask Carlisle something."

She eyed me speculatively for a moment before saying "OK" and walking back to the bedroom. I sighed and went out of our small cottage. I came into the house to find Emmett and Jasper wrestling on the carpet. I rolled my eyes and continued upstairs to my father's office.

"Come in." he said, hearing my footsteps. I took in a deep breath and walked inside.
