I looked in my mirror and I noticed that Angela was still asleep after about four hours of talking and playing road trip games. As I looked to my right, I saw that Bella was wide awake just like me. She was doing some word search while I lowered the volume on the radio. After the hell that Jessica and Lauren put Angela through, I was going to make sure that this girl would have a fun time, especially since Ben had just graduated from college, just like I had.

"Edward, thank you."

I looked at Bella with a raised, confused eyebrow as I drove through the traffic before I turned to look back at the road. "Thank you, Bella? For what – why are you apologizing?"

"Angela… she deserves to have fun, and with her in Forks, that wouldn't have happened," Bella said with a smile in my direction as she closed her word search. "Do you think your parents will mind?"

I shook my head as I gripped the steering wheel. "No, they've always liked Angela, right?"

"Yeah but I don't want to impose. I just know it's been a while since she's had a good vacation," she explained as she smiled over at me when traffic backed up just a little bit.

"You won't be, and besides, I think that Ben will like Angela. I promise you that everyone's going to have fun. With Emmett and Alice there, how can we not?"

Earning a laugh from her, I smiled as I continued to drive. I was really glad that we were going to San Diego where the sun would be shining and the thought of seeing Bella in a bathing suit made me smile.

I hoped that my plan would eventually work with getting Bella and my brother together. I know that my brother hadn't been back for long, but I was so hopeful. Bella hadn't had a boyfriend in a while since Jacob cheated on her and I thought that my brother would be the perfect guy for her.

We had all arrived at the beach house and I was so excited. They would be here in about four hours, since I got a text from Edward saying that Angela was coming too. I wondered why she was coming, but I didn't mind since I liked the girl. She was one of Bella's good friends even though she hung out with Lauren Mallory and Jessica Stanley.

"Alice, what are you planning?"

I smiled at Jasper when I heard his words and giggled. "Nothing, Jazz. I am just thinking how long it's going to take for them to get here."

Jasper nodded his head, while raising an eyebrow, and he winked at me. "Don't do anything crazy to my sister, Alice. If she doesn't like something, you will know it."

Was it so bad that I wanted Bella to have a good time… with Edward? They were perfect for one another. Bella had her heart broken by that Jacob Black and Edward could mend my best friend's broken heart. And then, the magic would happen. Yes, one way or another, Edward and Bella would get together.

As Edward pulled into the parking spot right new to Carlisle's black Mercedes Benz, I smiled and I looked behind me to see Angela looking around. I was going to make sure my best friend of ten years would have fun. Sure, Alice was my best friend, but I didn't just have one best friend, right?

"Wow, this is nice," Angela said with shock on her face as she looked at Edward when we all got out of the car, her eyes then looking to the large beach house.

I turned my head to look at the extravagant house that overlooked the beach and I wasn't surprised that it still looked the same. The house was huge, standing at least three stories tall and it was painted white and a dark blue. It even looked like the house had a touch up in the color. With each room, there was a balcony that was either facing trees, the ocean, or the pool down below.

I turned my head as I watched everyone come outside, but it was Alice that was rushing to us. I could only imagine what she was up to now that we were in direct line of her watchful eyes.

"Oh, Angela, I am so glad you're here," Alice grinned as she rushed past both Edward and myself, hugging Angela, who was looking over her shoulder at us.

"Alice, what's wrong with you?"

"Well, Bella, if you must know," Jasper began as he laughed.

I then made a disgusted noise as I obviously knew what happened. Alice and Jasper got some. Ew, I so didn't need to know that at all. Jasper was my brother and Alice was one of my best friends. I so didn't need to know about their sex lives.

"You're disgusting!" I swatted him in the chest, glaring at him, and I earned a smile from my brother.

Carlisle cleared his throat and I smiled at him.

"Angela, welcome to our beach house. If you need anything, ask Esme or myself."

I had heard this speech so many times, and as I walked over to the car, I watched Edward place his hand on my arm, making my cheeks flush. Oh geez, just the sight of him smiling made me almost lose my balance. How did he do that? What was it about Edward that made me feel like this?

I was reaching for one of my bags when he grabbed my hand in his, smiling over at me.

"I got it, Bella," he winked and I bit my lip from holding in the moan that was threatening to leave my lips. "A pretty girl like you shouldn't lift a thing."

"Aw, Eddie's flirting!" Emmett grinned as he approached us.

I swore I saw Edward's cheeks flush in embarrassment and I glared at my older brother. "Grab Angela's things, or I'll tell Rosalie where you went last week."

"Geez, little sister," Emmett grumbled as he grabbed Angela's two suitcases. Angela followed him to show him where she wanted her bags and to see where she would be staying.

"Where was he?"

"Huh?" I asked as I looked at Edward.

"Emmett – where was he a couple of days? I could definitely use some dirt on him."

I laughed as I followed Edward after I grabbed my small duffel bag. I swore I thought I saw Alice smiling at us as we walked inside the beach house. The house was covered in brown, white, and blue furniture to give it a bright and comfortable look. The floor was covered in mahogany wood since Esme knew what was best for the house.

"Your mother decorated since last time," I noted as I looked around, walking beside him up the spiral staircase that led up to the top floor where my bedroom was.

"What's new? We all know that decorating is what my mother's good at."

I laughed as I nodded my head. I couldn't take my eyes off of Edward, watching those muscles in his biceps flex slightly as he moved down the hall with our suitcases. We weren't Alice or Rosalie, who would pack enough for two months. They always came prepared if we sometimes wanted to stay longer.

Over the years, I had never come on a vacation when Edward was here, and I couldn't help but wonder what type of vacation this would be. Being with Edward sometimes made me forget about Jacob and the fact that he had cheated on me with some girl. It made me feel good that Edward had that effect.

As we walked into my room that still looked the same with the four poster, canopy bed that was covered in the blue and lavender sheets, pillows, and thousand pillows that I enjoyed slumbering in, I motioned for him to put my suitcases there.

After I set her suitcases down, I looked around the room, and I could see that this was her style. Esme had definitely done some good stenciling on the walls too. There were a few pictures around as well, which included her family like her mother, her father, and her two brothers. Her walls were painted a lavender color with quotes from her favorite book. Her walls also had a few posters. The room had a ceiling fan and the floor had a few rugs, that gave the room a bright feel about it. She had two matching nightstands on either side of her bed. Also, there was a dresser with a vanity attached to it by the walk-in closet.

"So, Ben's home," I told Bella with a smile as I took a seat next to her on her bed.

"Oh, he is?"

"Yeah," I laughed just a little bit. "He lives next door and the lights were on inside."

"It's like eight in the morning," Bella said with a laugh as she walked to her window where she could see a male figure moving around through the curtains from the shadow.

"Ben's an early bird. It's why he's going to be a great doctor," I told her with a grin as I looked over at her with a beaming smile on my face.

"Edward, you'll be a great doctor too."

"How do you know that, though?" I asked with interest as I looked over at Bella.

When I saw her smile, it made me wonder how anyone could cheat on her because she was the most exquisite woman that I definitely knew. Her face lit up when she would smile and was it so wrong that I wanted to be the cause of her smiles?

"From the way that your sisters and your parents talk about how you're going to be a doctor," she paused as she flashed me another warm smile. "I know without a doubt you're going to be a great doctor, just like your father is."

"You're sweet, Bella."

I didn't know why it affected me so much to hear her say such things. I had heard it from my professors, my father, and even fellow doctors had told me that I would be an amazing doctor. What was it about Bella that made me feel like some love sick puppy when she was around? No girl had ever made me feel like this and it worried me. I couldn't tell Alice because she would just say some crazy shit like Bella was my soul mate. No, that damn pixie was insane already, and half the stuff she said was nonsense.

"So, how about we get Angela and have her meet Ben?" I suggested with a smile as I stood up from her bed, reaching for her hand.

I smirked at Angela as I could see how nervous she was and I wondered why. What did Alice say to her? I shook my head as we walked past the black motorcycle in Ben's driveway where we then walked along the path to the front door of Ben's house. I stopped walking as Edward walked to the front door.

"Ang, you all right?"

Angela looked at me, nodding her head quickly. "Yeah, it's just he's really hot. He came out a few minutes ago to get the paper. He's SO out of my league, Bella."

I smirked when I suddenly heard Ben's voice in my ears.

"Dude, who is that?"
