I was so glad that the red-headed bitch was dead, since that's what has been coming to her. Victoria was long gone, but I didn't even get to watch the Cullen family kill her like I wanted to. I had only figured that she was dead since I hadn't seen Victoria in years. Victoria had been set on killing me since my sophomore year, ever since Edward killed James. I was a vampire now, and I had been one for a few years.

Never in my life did I even think that life could be this hard. I had to avoid everyone because the smell of human blood was so tempting. Sure, animal blood sated me, but I knew that human blood was what I really wanted. Still, the chance of killing a human was the one thing that stopped me. I had to leave Seattle for a few days. Living in Forks would not be a good idea because I might have a run in with people that knew me. I shuddered at the thought of hurting anyone. I didn't remember much of my life in Forks, but what if I hurt my parents if they lived here? I wouldn't be able to forgive myself. After all, they had given me life and I wasn't about to take away their lives just because I was hungry. No, I was better than that, and that's what made me stronger.

There were a few things that I remembered, namely Edward and his family. After I got turned into a vampire, I had tried to find Edward, but I wasn't very good at doing that. I wasn't a very good tracker. Although, I did meet some vampires, and they were vegetarian vampires just like Edward and his family– the Denali family. They were very kind and let me join their family. They taught me everything that I needed to know to live as a vampire.

It was just Tanya, Kate, Garrett, and me living in Seattle. The girls had wanted to live in a new surrounding when they found me in Edward's and my meadow. They were hunting. Apparently, my body had been a bloody disaster from what Kate told me, and it had been Tanya that had found me first. Victoria had been so stupid that she forgot to burn my body. I figured she was probably on the run. I had to thank her because I wouldn't be aging any time soon or at all.

The second and last thing I remembered was Jacob Black. Well, I didn't remember much. I had kept a journal, which I had brought with me the day Victoria had tried on killing me. I had only been in Forks for about a year and now, I wouldn't be able to see my best friend, Jacob. Well, I assumed he was my best friend from the way that I wrote about him. He was actually the only normal thing in my life. I don't even remember what he looks like. I really wished that I could remember my life aside from Edward, Edward's family, and Jacob, but I just couldn't.

Not being able to remember anything about my life was really frustrating because I had no idea what my life was even like. It honestly made no sense the more I thought about it. Tanya had told me that it was just part of the transformation, that sometimes when someone was going through the transformation of a vampire sometimes they just couldn't handle it and they can't remember a hell of a lot. I was lucky because I at least remembered my first name. I just wished that I knew where I came from. I had so many questions to ask but I didn't know where to get the answers that I needed and wanted.

All I knew was that whoever knew me, I wasn't the same girl anymore. I was a Denali now. I honestly didn't think anyone was worried about me since someone would have tracked me down, yes?

Everyone was worried. Two days before Bella disappeared was when I changed. I had changed into a werewolf because that Newton guy had angered me. What a marshmallow – I shook my head and rolled my eyes in complete disgust that he actually had a chance with Bella. Just thinking about Bells, it saddened me, but the people I felt bad for were her parents. Renee Dwyer had moved down to Forks to find out face to face where Bella was from Charlie. From what I registered, the two were getting closer. It was a shame that Bella wasn't around to see it.

"Jake, come on, man. We're going to be late."

"Yeah, yeah, I'm coming, Embry. Don't rush me."

As Embry and I phased into the form of a wolf, we took off to Emily and Sam's house. It was times when I was in wolf form that I couldn't think about Bella because I didn't need to hear any shit from Paul, or Embry for that matter. I just had hope that maybe Bella was alive. After all, Cullen had broken her heart, so maybe she had run away for a few years.

It just worried me that something might have happened, and all I knew was I wanted to find her. I had already told Sam that I was going to search for her by the end of the week. After all, since I was the rightful Alpha, I told Sam that I was going to do it whether he liked it or not. I thought that he was going to put up a fight, but he didn't. It was the weirdest shit ever.

A few months after I had been turned, we killed this red-headed vampire who seemed to be up to no good. I had this sensing notion that she had done something terrible, but I didn't know what it was. Whatever she had done, I made sure to give her pain. I despised vampires, and it showed that night because Sam had to stop me. After all, the red-headed bitch had been dead for several minutes.

It had been three years since anyone had seen Bella and I thought the worst, especially since her body hadn't been found. I hated to think it, but there was a huge possibility that my best friend had been killed by a blood sucker. After all, she had been involved with one, so who knows what happened.

I remembered when I went to go look for Bella. I went to the meadow, which she had mentioned to me a few times, where she and her lovely boyfriend would go. When I made it there, I was appalled at the sight, especially that familiar scent. Her blood – I was pretty sure that it was her blood and I saw a pair of her shoes.

I shifted back into human form right after Embry, sliding my shorts over my hips, along with my sneakers, taking a deep breath. Embry was looking over at me.

"Don't start, man…"

"You were doing it again, Jacob. She's probably… gone."

I had to control my temper right now, because Embry was my friend and I didn't want to lash out at him. The only person I enjoyed pummeling was Paul and he had apparently imprinted on my sister, so he was stuck in my family.

"I don't know what you guys expect me to do. Bella was my best friend," I grumbled under my breath as I ran a hand through my short hair and inhaled a deep breath. "I don't care if it has been three years or three months. We kind of grew up together, so don't start on me, man…"

"Sorry man… I just – I don't know," Embry grumbled as he turned the knob to Emily and Sam's place, walking in.

God Bella, what happened to you? I am going crazy and I don't… know why…

As I thought about Edward, I knew without a doubt that I wanted nothing to do with Edward. After all, he had told me that he didn't want me or love me. Why would I even want to be with someone that would say such cruel things to me to begin with? That was the type of guy that just wasn't good for me.

Apparently, Garrett, Kate and Tanya knew Edward and the Cullens, but I had told them I didn't want to hear anything about them. It was just a very touchy subject to me because they left me in danger. I blamed them for me being what I was, and the fact that I basically had amnesia.

I had told Tanya and Kate that I was going to the mall to buy a few things, but I lied. I was going back to the one place that I hadn't been back to since my change. Right after Tanya and Kate found me, they immediately took me out of Forks, and I just wanted to see if I would remember anything from being back in Forks. Maybe I could go back to the meadow to trigger some sort of memory.

I hope I will remember something. It's all I want. I want to know who I am.

I had been back in Forks for about ten minutes when I approached the meadow and sadness filled my face because this was our spot, along with the fact that this was the place where that red-headed vampire had tried to kill me. Yet, she failed miserably where she turned me into a vampire. I had to admit that being a vampire was definitely not what I thought life would be like.

As I looked around the meadow, my eyes landed on the spot where the patch of blood remained against a bark tree, and I looked away from it. Of all places, Victoria had decided to kill me here, and I frowned. I hoped that she suffered in her death. She had stalked me for a good year and took action when Edward and his family left.

I had told Sam that I would be back in a few hours and that I needed to be alone. I hoped that the guys would actually leave me alone. God, one could only wish, right? Sometimes, especially lately, the guys wouldn't leave me alone. With Sam's order, I hoped that they would stay clear out of my way. I was so sick and tired of everyone lately and it was starting to push my buttons.

As I looked through the trees to where I had found Bella's blood on the bark, I frowned to myself, but I stopped in my tracks when I thought I saw movements or that familiar smell.

No, there was no damn way it's her. She's dead. I saw her blood… unless -

As I moved quickly through the woods, only wearing the cutoff jean shorts over my hips, along with the worn out sneakers, I moved to the meadow, the grass looking too long the more I moved further and further to where I knew she was.

With her back facing me, I gasped. As she turned around, there I was – face to face with my best friend, who was a damn blood sucker!

"Bells?" I cried out as I looked over at her, taking a step forward. She took a step backwards.

"I'm sorry… but do I know you?"
