"Yeah, it sure is, but she doesn't know about the wolves yet because Embry hasn't told her shit," I grumbled as I shook my head and I sighed. "I can't wait until she knows, Bella. Who am I going to talk to when you're away at college?"
When I heard her laugh, she grinned back at me. "You sound like such a girl, Jacob Black. What has your sister done to you?"
I laughed softly as I leaned forward and I kissed her lips softly. "I guess she's made me a romantic at heart. Does it bother you?"
Bella quickly shook her head. "Hell no… it definitely does not bother me. If anything, it's a huge turn on for sure."
I grinned at her. "Good… and this is just our very first date, Bella Swan."
After slaving over the stove this morning with Sam's assistance – well, rather tasting than helping, we had decided to go on a second first date since the first time hadn't ended too well, and I blamed it on myself. I had been so damn stubborn that day that I hadn't wanted to feel what this imprint could really make me feel. The more I could give in, the happier I could feel.
Sam wouldn't tell me where we were going. Even though I hated surprises, he had placed a blindfold over my eyes to block me from seeing anything. I could still use my nose to smell where we were. We were walking through the forest once again. I couldn't help but wonder where were going, but since he had told me to wear a bathing suit underneath my dress I was wearing, I knew we were going somewhere near water.
"Sam, are we almost there?" I pouted as he held my body against his chest, guiding me which way to walk. "You know that I really, really hate surprises."
"Yeah, you do, but you always love my surprises," Sam whispered against my neck, placing a soft kiss there where his hand moved over the flatness of my stomach. "And don't try to deny it."
I huffed. I hated it when Sam was right because it was the truth. When we had dated, he would surprise me whenever he got the chance. He'd surprise me with the most extravagant and expensive gifts or even a simple daisy or rose. Whenever we had gotten in a fight, he'd get me my favorite box of chocolate truffles. Sam was the perfect guy – well, for me, anyway.
"Watch your step, gorgeous," Sam chuckled against my ear, helping me over a bark tree, and then pulled me back against his broad chest. "And we're here."
"Good. Can I take this blindfold off?"
"I'll do it."
I could hear Sam moving around and I jumped to his hands over my calves, which told me that Sam was down on his knees feeling me up. I shivered to his hands trailing upwards, stopping right below the hem of the dress before he continued on touching my body. I moaned softly to his hands resting on the curves of my hips. Being a werewolf definitely gave me better features. At least, that's what Sam had told me, and I moaned when his hands slid past the curves of my breasts before they reached the rim of the blindfold.
"You are teasing me, Sam," I managed out, my voice cracking, and I rolled my eyes when he laughed.
Sam laughed. "Yeah, I know. I can't help myself."
Then, I felt the blindfold being removed from my face, and when I looked around my surroundings, he was right. I loved what he had done. We were at some sort of waterfall. I never knew there were waterfalls like this in Seattle, Washington. There were white lights surrounding the trees, giving the scene a winter look at this type of night. There were candles around the forestry waterfall and it made me never want to leave. Sam had already set the blanket down with the picnic basket.
"Sam, it's so beautiful," I admitted with pink cheeks as I looked over at him. "Where did you even find this?"
"I found it a few days before you came back around the time Bella did," he explained to me with a grin on his handsome face. "Do you really like it?"
I flung my arms around him and I nodded my head eagerly. "I really do. It's so pretty and everything, Sam. Did you do this all on your own?"
"I wish I could take the credit, but no," he started as a laugh left his lips and he looked over at me. "Jacob helped me out. Do you see the amount of lights in the trees, Lee-Lee? There's no way I could have done it all on my own."
I was about to say something when Embry and Jared walked in. I could feel Sam tense and I chuckled. It seemed like the two of us just couldn't have a normal 'first date' without something or something ruining it.
"Oh, shit! You two are on a date, aren't you?" Embry groaned as he shook his head and he took a step back. "I didn't know that you two would be 'busy' today and –"
"Oh my… ew, you two were about to have sex, and –"
"No!" I shrieked at them as I glared at them. "The best thing for you two to do right now is leave."
Embry then noticed the basket and he grinned like a boy that just found some chocolate.
Sam stepped forward. "Don't even think about it. Leave… now."
When Embry left with Jared tagging along, I turned around to see Sam with a silly grin on his handsome face, sitting down on the blanket, motioning for me to join him.
"Can we ever have a normal first date without something happening?" I frowned as I slid into his lap, wrapping my arms around his neck with a sigh leaving his lips. "The first date was my fault, though, and –"
"Babe, when will you stop blaming yourself for that?"
I sighed as I looked at him and then looked around our surroundings. It was definitely something that you would dream out of a fairytale. It was like the lights in the trees were shining crystals. The way the waterfall looked as it poured into the lake surrounded by the rocks was just breathtaking the more I looked at it.
I was going to make sure that Sam and I would come here more than just this time.
"I'm sorry, Sam, but I don't like that I caused our first date to be ruined because I didn't believe that you wanted our first date to be special," I whispered against his lips, blinking back the tears, and I looked at him when I pulled back just the slightest bit.
"C'mon, I think that things for us won't be easy. We've come a long way," he whispered against my lips when he leaned in, cupping my cheek, and he looked over at me with a twinkle inside of his eyes. "I think that it's going to be a bumpy road for the two of us. I also want you to know that I do not blame you for our first date going bad. If anything, it was both of our faults."
Before I knew it, he pushed me backwards against the blanket, and he crawled on top of me, his eyebrows wiggling playfully. Sam leaned down and I leaned upwards, pressing my lips lightly against Sam's lips.
I could definitely get used to kissing Sam. I felt like I was on cloud nine right now and I knew for sure that there was definitely no turning back.
"So, when are you going to tell her?"
I turned my head from the flowers in the display in the store to see Jacob with a grin on his face. I had been wondering when Jacob, Bella, Leah, or Sam would say something to me. I was kind of relieved that it was Jacob instead of one of the girls.
"Jake… what are you even talking about?" I asked, hoping he wasn't talking about the imprint, and I looked away from him back to the store in front of me.
Jake rolled his eyes at me as he shook his head, a laugh escaping his lips. "You're so slow, but if you're wondering what I'm talking about, I'm talking about you… imprinting on Leah and Seth's cousin."
I looked into the flower shop at the red Hippeastrum before I turned my attention back to my best friend. "I don't know, man, but I'm not going to wait as long as you did with Bella…"
"Good. I wouldn't want anyone to go through that sort of hell," he explained as he led us into the flower shop. "I do think that you should tell her soon. I do think that she likes you."
"Stop saying that to make me feel better. All the guys know she usually dates older guys," I said with a sigh as I looked along the walls at the different types of flowers from roses to lilies to even daisies.
"I'm not. I saw the way she looked at you when she came by to help me with my date with Bella the other day. I knew I wasn't seeing things," Jacob said with a laugh as he moved over to the window sill where the red Hippeastrum flowers were, along with some white Cymbidium flowers were.
"Are you joking with me or is this serious?" I asked, my eyes wide as I looked at Jacob, who smirked at me. "What is with that look on your face?"
"Wow, you have got it bad for her," Jacob said with a laugh. "I think you should tell her. Besides, it would be nice to talk to Emily about imprinting…"
"I knew there was something behind it," I said with a roll of my eyes as I looked over at him. "What's going on with you, though? You look like you have a lot of things on your mind…"
"I do but it's nothing to worry about, man."
I was about to ask him about it until a saleswoman approached us. She rung us up after making the bouquet of flowers we bought to look great. I had a bouquet of Hippeastrum's for Emily since they symbolized pride, splendid beauty, and timidity, which suited the situation. Jacob had a bouquet of Cymbidium's for Bella when we walked out of the flower shop.
"So, Jacob, tell me what's going on? I know you're thinking of something and it's buggin' the hell out of you, man."
"I don't know. I am crazy for even thinking about this but…"
"What are you even talking about, Jake?" I asked as I turned to look at him, walking down the street of Forks.
"Are they back or something?"
"No, no, it's nothing like that."
"Jake, you are confusing me. What's going on?"
"I… I want to find Alice and Emmett for Bella and bring them back to Bella."
