Painting On The Wall

Summary:
A story about the Volturi doing what they can to pick up the pieces after their encounter with the Cullens (post - Breaking Dawn). Once the pieces are taken care of, do they have it in them to put it all back together, or will Aro's hobbie for collecting gifts become his own undoing? Follow the Volturi and the Cullens in this multi-POV story as they journey across the world discovering new allies while the loom of fate spins their threads. Who's lifeline gets cut short and who will remain victorious? Only your reviews will tell which ending I release.

Notes:
All Chapters are subject to editing as the final out come of this story relys on you, the reader / reviewer. It is likely that in time I will have a companion piece to this with the alternate ending for sake of keeping the stories flow fluid. Please remember to R+R.

About twenty five minutes later the truck pulled up the drive. Quil, Leah and Claire all piled out and grabbed bags from the box. Moments later two giant wolves came into view and ran straight to the last standing barn. Embry and Seth came out wearing nothing but black shirts and a pair of cut-off jeans.

Bella dashed out through the sliding glass doors in the window wall of the living room and onto the large deck surrounding the house. "Oh my god! You got it running? H-how? That thing hasn't run in years." She exclaimed extatically.

Seth chuckled, "Well we couldn't leave it on the curb forever Bells. As much as it reminded Charlie of you, Sue couldn't stand to look at it anymore."

Parked in the drive was Bella's old red Chevy looking as rustic as ever.

"So instead you decided that we needed to look at it then?" I complained, knowing that Bella's Ferrari was going to become just another thing to collect dust now. Surely her attitude towards sports cars hasn't increased much since the time she was human.

"Not like it was hard to get running Eddy, I popped the hood and seen right away that the sparkplugs were removed. Gees, you even left them sitting nicely on the carburator for me, I had that thing running in less than five minutes." Seth bragged.

I sunk away back into the house without another word, hiding my face in my hands, wishing Seth hadn't said that.

Bella turned around to glare at me, "So it was you! I figured you had something to do with the timely death of my truck." but I was out already of sight, though she knew I could hear her. "Edward Anthony Masen Cullen, you better run. You know I loved that truck and you cheated me out of it just so you could get me some fancy quarter million dollar machine."

With that she chased me out the back door and half way up the mountain side before giving up and returning to the house.

"Come on up guys," Jake called, "theres steaks on the pit and the potatoes and salad are inside. The girls got the kitchen set and ready for when you arrived."

As the crew made their way up into the huge house, they were greeted by Esme and the rest of the Cullens. "Jazz would you take their bags upstairs please. Claire, would you like to share a room with Sammy? You two can have Carlisle's and mine if you like." Esme offered.

"That would be great, thank you Mrs. Cullen." Claire said grinning from ear to ear. Claire and Samantha had been great friends since the time Samantha could walk.

What a polite little girl.

Esme thought to herself. Quil sure has help bring her up well.

"Claire-bear!" Samantha yelled, running and smashing into her friend with a hug.

"Hi Sammy. Nice house," Enthusiasm filled her voice at the sight of her sidekick. "this place is huge."

"Yes it is, Carlisle sure knows how to pick'em. Come get something to eat, mom and Papa Edward were just telling me stories about his past when you pulled up, I'll get you caught up over dinner. Maybe you could join us afterward if Gran doesn't dismantle him first."

"Sure, I'd love to. But I'm starving and all this food smells amazing."

Samantha chuckled, "Ya, if theres even anything left after the dogs got ahold of it."

Claire rolled her eyes at her friend with a tell-me-about-it look.
