Before Edward Became a Vampire

Chapter 17

Carlisle's POV

once i got everyone out i picked up Edward, and all of the equipment and ran down to the basement of the hospital at vampire speed so i was sure that no one, and i mean no one saw us.

Once we got down there, which was only a couple of seconds, i placed Edward on a bed that was down there and got ready to turn into a vampire.

I got closer to him and bit his neck. but once the blood went into my mouth i knew i had to stop. But i couldn't. i knew i had to i just kept saying reassuring things to myself and luckily i stopped. i pushed myself into a chair and waited for the transformation to be over. i knew this would be excruciating for him. i know from when i was turned.

Edward's POV

The black started fading and at first i thought i was dead and that carlisle was too late and couldnt save me.but then i felt an excruciating pain. it was unbearable but i had to fight through it no matter what because there really isn't anything i can do anyway.

3RD DAY OF THE TRANSFORMATION

I was getting used to the pain when suddenly my heart rate started picking up like inhumanly fast. i thought vampires didn't have a heart but maybe i was wrong. but then suddenly it stopped and my eyes shot open.

Everything was so clear, so define, so sharp. My hearing was like nothing i have ever experienced in all of my years. and then thats when i heard them. the voices. they were bouncing around. at first i thought it was just my mind playing tricks on me or something when i heard a familiar ind close to me. the voice sounded worried because i hadn't said anything to him yet. It was carlisle. i turned to carlisle and said "i can hear your thoughts. is this normal?" i asked unsure.

He first just looked at me and then a smile formed on his face. "wow Edward this is remarkable." i gave him a look to show him i wasn't following. "Some vampires when turned, develop a special gift." "you happen to be one of those people! you can read minds!" "this is remarkable" he exclaimed. my frown turned into a half grin but i still wasn't entirely happy. i still will never get to see my Izzy ever again!!!

Izzy's POV

I still cant believe it. Edward> He. Is. Dead! i feel so depressed.i Have lost my one true love and he thinks i don't love him. by that point i was full on sobbing. i just cant believe he is gone. i will never be able to see him again.

As i sat in the room Edward was in i noticed a piece of paper on the table beside his bed. i picked it up and started reading it,

My Dearest Izzy,.........

(you remember the letter so i am not gonna retype it.)

My tears then started coming harder and harder. i could barley see now and thats when i dropped to my knees with my face in my hands. i just cant take it anymore. i was seriously thinking of suicide but then i remembered Edward and knew he wouldn't want me to do that. he wouldn't want to be the reason i am dead. i just don't know what to do with myself anymore. how can i live now with out my soulmate?!

I will miss you my love! I love you Edward.
