A phone call. One phone call. It changed everything. I hung up, tears streaming down my face. It isn’t true. But it was. Any normal person would have called into work saying they won’t be in. But I need to help people. To distract me from the sudden tragedy that has griped my very soul and heart and devastated me entirely. But I need to get over that. With a heavy heart, I get into my VW Bug and drive to the hospital. I trudge down to Dr Cullen’s office, my eyes swollen, red and puffy, and I knock, quietly, but still loud enough for him to hear me.
