Part Three

Say what?

“Him? You have got to be joking?” She giggled to herself and flickered one of her pens at Newton’s head.

“Now, you see the method to my madness. You wouldn’t believe it if he were to tell you that we had sex because you can’t see it in your pea brain. Jacob is not bad to look at but your brain tells you that there is something wrong with me and him having sex. It’s all psychology. Nature versus nuture. People are raised to think a certain way.

“You are worst of all, Michael. Everyone knows that your family is the most racist in all of Forks County. You think if someone isn’t one-hundred percent white that they aren’t worth your time. It’s not your fault of course. You can blame Mommy and Daddy. Why? Because they raised you that way.

“Like I said, nature versus nuture. I have made it my business to be able to read people to a ‘t’.” He rolled his eyes and then looked like he had a light bulb go off in his head.

“Alright. Tell us about Mr. Birdie.” She stood up and I groaned from staring at her ass. She strutted over to Mr. Birdie and smiled at everyone, cirling him.

“Mr. Birdie should have retired years ago, but he can’t stay home because he hates his wife.” Everyone laughed and she rolled her eyes. I saw Mr. Birdie’s face turning into a tomato with anger. “I mean, his wife already knows about the affair so I say dump the bitch already.” There came another laugh and I couldn't help, but attempt to stiffle mine.

“Ms. Swan?” She smiled at him and nodded.

“Yes, Mr. Birdie?” He pointed at the door.

“Out, now. I don’t want to see you in this school until Monday morning, got it?” She smiled brightly and grabbed her bag, giving me what seemed to be a shy smile.

“Bye, Jacob.” I gave her a small smile as she walked out, obviously wiggling her ass.

“Fucking bitch.” I narrowed my eyes at Michael Newton as Bella peeked her head back in, flashing him the finger.

“Oh, just so everyone knows, I heard in the halls this morning that someone tried to give Michael a blowy and couldn’t even get close to a gag reflex. That came straight from his girlfriend’s lips.” Then she was gone and everyone laughed.

The rest of the day went smoothly. As I was climbing in my car to go home, I got a call on my cell from Charlie, Isabella’s father.

“Hey, Charlie.”

“Hey, Jake. My daughter just got to town and I was wondering if you could look at her car. It has been acting up. I had to drive her to school this morning. It probably embarrassed her to high hell.” I chuckled gently. I could only imagine…

“Sure. I’m just leaving the school. I’ll stop by on my way home.” We said our good byes and I drove towards the Swan house.
