Shadows

The day I received that package started out like any other day. I woke up at about 6 am surprised that i had slept so late. I had been thankful though. it wasn't often my insomnia allowed me a decent nights sleep. I slipped on a dressing gown and noticing that the sky looked clear i figured it might be warm enough to go sit on my front porch and enjoy my morning cigarette.

As I opened the front door and inhaled a deep breathe of the fresh country air i saw something out of the corner of my eye. Turning my head to look i noticed that it was a package addressed to me.

That's unusual. I NEVER get anything but junk mail.

intrigued as to what was in the package a hastily opened it and then preceded to be confused as to why someone would send me a tape.

Well what ever the answer I'm sure its on this tape.

But first i was going to enjoy my cigarette. As i was smoking i couldn't help wonder who had sent me this tape. I had no friends or any living relatives. My curiosity getting the better of me I shot straight inside and played the tape.

What i saw chilled me right to the bone. I couldn't believe what i was seeing. Those horrific images imprinted Forever on to my brain. I turned it off not capable of watching another second.

Knock knock.

The knocking brought my mind back to reality. Turning around to see who was at the door i was shocked to see no one. All i saw was a letter stuck in the letter box.

Okay this is getting weird.

when I opened the envelope a plane ticket and a piece of paper fell out. I looked at the piece of paper first.

You need to leave this place far behind.

I looked at the plane ticket next. It was for a one way flight to Forks, Washington and the flight was today.
